Joseph Jones - Accused Of Feeding Cat Feces To 4-Year-Old

Mannington, West Virginia (The Weekly Vice) - Joseph Edward Jones, a 22-year-old Mannington man, was jailed Monday after he allegedly forced a young child to eat a cat-feces sandwich, physically abused him, bound him with duct tape and put him in a dryer.

According to Marion County authorities, Child Protective Workers were called after a four-year-old boy told investigators Jones had abused him in several ways while residing with the family in January of 2008.

The little boy, now 6, stated that Jones poured ice water on him, bit him on the nose, bound his hands and feet together and then forced him into the dryer.

The boy's mother told investigators that Jones forced her son to eat a sandwich that had cat feces on it. The boy stated that he didn't report the abuse sooner because Jones threatened to harm his mother if he did.

Investigators interviewed Jones who reportedly admitted to throwing a toy truck at the child's head, causing him to bleed.

He also admitted to slamming the child against the wall on several occasions, but denies biting the boy on his nose, despite an obvious bite mark. He reportedly told investigators that he has had anger issues and requested assistance with them.

Jones was booked into North Central Regional Jail and charged with three counts of child abuse causing injury. He was released Tuesday after posting $30,000 cash or surety bond.

According to court documents, Jones was convicted a few years ago for child abuse causing injury involving another child in Marion County. He claims that he has previously seen psychiatrists about his anger problems.
