Palm Beach, Florida (The Weekly Vice) – Bethsaida Sandoval, a 38-year-old Florida woman, was arrested Thursday after she allegedly booked customers on cruises, then assisted burglars in cleaning out the customer's homes while they were out of town.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Sandoval, who worked as a vacation planner for Royal Caribbean, is alleged to have passed on addresses and sailing dates of passengers to burglars who planned hits on their homes. Sandoval also allegedly robbed some of the homes with her husband.
Investigators say the investigation started in January when a pattern of break-ins while people were away on Royal Caribbean cruises, was discovered.
The break-ins occurred in several dozen homes in West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Boca Raton, Lake Worth, Palm Beach Gardens and Broward County, over the past few months.
Sandoval allegedly confessed to the crimes and told investigators she drove to the houses but her husband did the break-ins. Other suspects are being sought in the investigation.
Sandoval was booked into the Palm Beach County Central Detention Center on 24 counts of burglary and one count of racketeering. Her bond was set at $70,000.
