Raymond Jackson - Charged With Feeding Toddler Alcohol Until She Passed Out Drunk At 3 Times The Legal Limit

Erlanger, Kentucky (The Weekly Vice) - Raymond Jackson, a 23-year-old Crescent Springs man, was jailed Saturday after he allegedly got his 2-year-old stepdaughter so drunk, she was hospitalized at more than 3 times the state's legal limit for operating a motor vehicle.

According to Kenton County Police, Jackson was taking care of the toddler and his 6-month-old son when he encouraged the toddler to drink gin and iced tea. He was also drinking at the time.

He reportedly fed the child alcohol until she was rendered unconscious.

Investigators say Jackson and his wife Amanda brought the unresponsive child in to St. Elizabeth Edgewood hospital. She was then rushed to Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati where she was treated for alcohol poisoning. Her blood-alcohol content was measured at .250 - more then three times the state's legal limit.

Amanda Jackson, who was not present when the child was given alcohol, was granted emergency custody for both of the children on Monday.

Jackson was booked into the Kenton County Jail and charged with first-degree criminal abuse. He is being held in lieu of $10,000 cash bond. If convicted, he could face 5-10 years in prison. He has also been ordered to have no contact with his wife or children.
