Santa Fe, Texas (The Weekly Vice) - Matthew Ray Creel, a 21-year-old Galveston man, was jailed Monday after police allegedly found marijuana concealed inside a court document, a document he received from previous drug charges.
According to Santa Fe police, an officer pulled over a 1991 ford mustang around 11:00 p.m. because it reportedly had a defective headlight.
The officer discovered that the driver had a suspended driver's license and was a habitual offender so he was placed into custody.
Police then searched the vehicle prior to impounding it and recovered a small amount of marijuana hidden inside a folded piece of paper, which was actually Creel's deferred adjudication order for possession of marijuana dated March 16th 2010 out of Galveston County.
Investigators say Creel denied knowing anything about the marijuana.
Creel was booked into the Galveston County Jail and charged with possession of less then two ounces of marijuana. His bond was set at $2,000.
