Mesa, Arizona (The Weekly Vice) - Rebecca Barrera, a 27-year-old Arizona woman, was arrested Sunday after she allegedly left two kids sleeping in a car outside a bar while she drank inside.
According to police, an off-duty officer assigned to a club because of its frequent brawls, found two children, ages six and eight, sleeping in an unoccupied car around 1 a.m..
The officer also found several drunk people surrounding the car along with a set of car keys that had been left in the vehicle's front seat.
The officer called on-duty police who were initially unable to locate the children's parents. Officers went into the club and asked the DJ to make an announcement regarding the abandoned children. That is when Barrera identified herself as a "friend" of the children's mother and offered to go back into the bar and find the mother.
After ten minutes of waiting, the officers went into the bar to find the children's mother. Instead, they found Barrera hiding inside the women's restroom.
Barrera eventually admitted to being the children's mother and told officers that she had driven several places with the children while intoxicated. A breath test was administered which showed Barrera's BAC to be almost twice the legal limit for operating a motor vehicle.
She was booked into jail on a charge of child abuse. Bail in her case was set at $5,000.

She's a Fucking great MOM.!She does everything humanly possible,she always cook there a warm bfast before school cooked dinner "from scratch" I dont how she been it all by herself.She went that club lookin 4me. we got into a lil fight earlier that day and i told her i was goin to be there.i was at home n bed.Anyways cps and and her po are tryin to NOT let her see the kids.Dont get me wrong she fucked up. but i think all this shit was a lil blown outa purportion.if she seen i was typin on here shed prolly get pretty pisses lol
