New Cumberland, PA (The Weekly Vice) - Andrew Thomas Wildman Jr, a 28-year-old former Ceder Cliff High School civics teacher, was jailed after he allegedly offered to give female high school students extra credit if they licked chalk and other items off his finger.
According to Cumberland County authorities, a 14-year-old female student told police that Wildman was engaging in inappropriate behavior in his classroom with his female students ranging from 14 to 16 years of age.
Some of the acts allegedly included the finger-licking incidents and sexually explicit discussions. One student even told police that she actually licked hand sanitizer off of her teacher's finger because she was nervous.
Investigators say the girl told police that Wildman asked one student to touch her tongue ring and attempted to have a sexual discussion with her. He also allegedly asked others about their sexual relationships with their boyfriends.
Wildman maintains his innocence. His attorney stated that he will be "defending his charges appropriately". Wildman has resigned from Ceder Cliff High School, where he was known as "Creeper" by the students because of his actions.
Wildman was booked into jail and charged with eight counts of corruption of minors, two counts of indecent assault, and one count of solicitation of minors. He remains free after posting $5,000 bail.
Wildman smiled as he waived his right to a preliminary hearing on April 23rd while eight students and their parents stood by, ready to testify against him. He will stand trial for his charges on July 8th.
