Albion, Illinois (The Weekly Vice) - Randall White, a 22-year-old Illinois man pleaded guilty Tuesday to child abuse charges after he admitted to breaking his 7-week old son's limbs and then pinching the child's "gurgle spot" in an attempt to keep the child from crying out.
According to Illinois State Police, the alleged abuse came to light when doctors at Fairfield Memorial Hospital discovered the child's arm was fractured and determined the injuries could not have been self-inflicted.
The child was then transferred to Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis where it was discovered the child was also suffering from a broken thigh bone. An extended examination of the child revealed the infant had three healing fractures to both arms and right leg.
Investigators interviewed White who told them he sometimes placed his hand over the boy's mouth to quiet him. He reportedly added that he used his thumb and forefinger to pinch the child's "gurgle spot" to stop him from crying.
After receiving treatment at Cardinal Glennon Hospital, the child was taken into protective custody by Illinois DCF.
On Tuesday, March 23rd, White pleaded guilty to abuse charges - admitting he had broken his son's arm and leg.
The child's mother, Bethany Mendenhall, 20, was also taken into custody when authorities determined she "allowed her son to be placed in the immediate care and supervision" of White, while knowing he had repeatedly injured the child.
White was booked into the White County Jail on two felony counts of aggravated battery of a child. Sentencing in his case has been set for April 30.
Mendenhall was booked on a misdemeanor charge of child endangerment. She is free on a $300 bond pending an April 9th hearing on her case.

This is disgusting! These sick pieces of shit need to have their child taken away from them & should never be allowed to be alone with the baby again! May I also add that sterilization would not be a bad option.

As a parent of two small boys and knowing what a blessing children are I can tell you I would love five minutes alone in a room with this jacka$$ so I could pinch his gurgle spot. What kind of a monster does this kind of thing? Hopefully the boy won’t be crippled all his life. If I knew what prison they were sending him to, I would find me a pen pal there and drop the dime on him so the inmates could give him a taste of his own vile medicine.
They only had the baby for 7 weeks and did this? It's no wonder the baby cried so much when he was breaking it's limbs.. Eugenics doesn't sound half bad with the idiots that we have reproducing in this country..

How is that woman's bail only $300 dollars? She should be jailed for being with this man, having a child with that monster and then not protecting her baby. Bail should be a million dollars.
NO bail for him. That type of behavior is tantamount to what serial killers do, and should be punished the same.
It might be worth mentioning that the mother's, Bethany's, father is in prison for murder in TN (and other things) and is probably a serial killer.

It's easy to find that pathetic excuse for a mother on myspace... looks like she has this poor baby back and speaks highly of the abusive father. Lovely. What the @#$& is wrong with our system? It could not get more obvious that these people were abusing the child and they still get to raise him!?

I live in albion and personally know the mother. She is a piece of white trash and so is her family. She makes me sick. What kind of a mother let's her baby go through that? And I wouldn't be surprised one bit if she wasn't hurting that poor baby as well. She doesn't have the baby back and she will NEVER get him back. She signed over full custody and has NO rights to this baby at all thank god. Way to go VALENTINE! (he's our states attorney) he told her right off the bat he was going to make sure she never got him back. Now someone needs take her uterus out. Btw I have a tiny baby and would mother f**king kill ANYONE over something like that.
