Sacramento, CA (The Weekly Vice) - Stanley Mumby,a 52-year-old Sacramento man was jailed after he allegedly beat his mother with w wooden sword until she begged for her life.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, Mumby attacked his 73-year-old bedridden mother on Saturday around 8:00 a.m.
Mumby beat his mother mercilessly, breaking both of her arms, causing massive bruising and fractures to her face, and causing a wound to her leg so severe that her shin bone was showing through.
He then pinched her nose shut and covered her mouth to try and suffocate her, only stopping when she begged for her life.
When deputies arrived on the scene, Mumby attacked an officer, injuring his hand.
The victim, with whom Mumby lives with, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, including bleeding of the brain. She is expected to survive, according to investigators.
Mumby was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail and charged with attempted murder, mayhem, torture, domestic violence, causing pain to a dependant adult, and resisting arrest. He is being held without bond.
