Golden Meadow, LA (The Weekly Vice) - Sandy Bellanger, a 38-year-old Golden Meadow woman was jailed after she allegedly allowed her 14-year-old son to drive home so she could stay at the bar and continue to drink.
On Saturday, just after midnight, an officer pulled over a vehicle for driving erratically. He then discovered that the driver was only 14 years old, and his passengers were his 2-year-old brother and 4-year-old sister, according to Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Weber
As the officer was questioning the children, another vehicle pulled up and Bellanger identified herself as the childrens' mother. She stated that her teenage son drove up to TK's Bar on Highway 3235 and pleaded with his mother to come home, but she refused at the time.
Bellanger was booked into jail and charged with allowing an unlicensed minor to drive, having an open container in the car, improper supervision of a minor, and child endangerment.
The person who drove Bellanger to her children was also booked into jail on charges of driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana, lack of vehicle registration, and an outstanding warrant for failure to pay fines on a previous DWI arrest.
Bond information was not available on either arrest.

Insensitive cops! How's she going to get a new baby daddy if she can't cruise bars?
Too bad she doesn’t live in Florida. Damn Louisiana and their strict laws.
happy mothers day
The thing is, the kid drove up there on his own. His mother is a P.O.S., but he should have stayed his ass at home, you know what I mean? It didn't seem like there was any emergency for him to have had to drive. He was probably just sick of being responsible of his siblings. Which, who could blame him, but he still should have been a little more considerate of their safety.
However, his mother should have figured out a way to get herself and her kids home safely rather then let her teenage son drive back home by himself. She deserves any punishment that will be handed to her.
Also, this is Louisiana we are talking about here. It is probably some hick town where kids drive all the time. There are places like that here in Missouri. It's wrong, but not unheard of.
Not a bad looking woman,. Heck, I would "drive" her home anytime... :)
JUST ANOTHER LOW-LIFE MOTHER.
