Michael Rigby Escaped From Jail Through A Toilet - Authorities Still Unable To Sniff Out Escaped Inmate’s Whereabouts
Osceola, FL (The Weekly Vice) - Michael Jamal Rigby, a 21-year-old jail inmate faces charges after he allegedly escaped from jail by removing a toilet from the floor.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff's Department, Rigby was being held for numerous charges, including murder.
While in jail, Rigby unbolted a toilet and removed it to uncover the hole in the ground. He then made the hole larger and climbed through it and over two fences, fleeing to the home of his grandmother, Regina Ralph.
Ralph then contacted her son, Brian Rigby, who provided the fugitive with a car and money. Rigby was gone for six hours before authorities were notified.
Rigby and Ralph were booked into the Osceola County Jail on charges of aiding and abetting. They are being held without bond.
Rigby remains on the run. He is described to be a black man, anout 5' 11" tall and 170 pounds. Police believe he has fled the state with his girlfriend and may be driving a red four-door Mitsubishi Mirage with black rims and tinted windows.
