Springfield, Mass (The Weekly Vice) - Jesus Perez, a 26-year-old Massachusetts man was jailed Monday after he fled the scene of a drunk driving accident. Police were able to track him down quickly, however, when he left a trail of broken beer bottles behind.
According to Springfield police, Perez had been driving drunk down Chestnut Street when he crashed his Chrysler Concord into six parked cars that lined the roadway.
On the sixth crash, Perez got out of his vehicle, removed the car's license plates, grabbed a case of Heineken out of the trunk and fled the scene as beer bottles fell out of the case.
When police arrived on scene, they had the dubious task of finding the driver of the vehicle - however that job was made easier when officers found the trail of broken beer bottles that Perez had left behind.
"They simply followed the trail of broken beer bottles to Elliot Street where they found Perez making his getaway," said Police Sgt. John M. Delaney.
Perez was booked into jail on charges of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and operating a motor vehicle on suspended license.

Cruxify him! Cruxify him! Cruxify him!
(I couldn't help it.)
That is one determined drunk!
Wow!
Six separate accidents. Time to remove his plates, grab his beer stash and he still almost got away.
Kind of impressive.
Hasn't he ever read fairy tales? It's like Hansel and Gretel!
