Byron, Georgia (The Weekly Vice) - Diana Denise Dickson, a 27-year-old Byron woman was arrested accused of trying to cash a forged check.
According to police news release, Dickson presented a fake check from a realty company to America's Cash Express, a check cashing business. Employees at America's Cash Express called the realty company to verify the check and figured out the check was fake.
Dickson admitted she tried to pass the $105,300 check.
Dickson faces forgery charges and bail was set at $2950.

The reason this is news is the way that America's Cash Express was alerted to the fact that the check was bogus.
America's Cash Express rubbed the rubber check on her head and the ensuing static electricity led them to believe that the check would bounce.
