Police Discover 8 adults, 4 Kids and 45 Animals Living In Heaps Of Trash And Puddles Of Urine

Elkhart, Indiana (The Weekly Vice) - Police discovered a virtual landfill inside a home Tuesday night after neighbors contacted Animal Control officers to investigate an animal welfare complaint.

Do the images above look crazy enough? Well, that's only the beginning.

Along with piles of garbage, which had permeated every room of the residence, investigators discovered something even more shocking. 8 adults, 4 children and at least 45 animals - all residing in the same small house!

"There was eight adults in the house with four children, and what I would call terrible conditions," said Cpl. Dennis Russell of the Elkhart Police Dept. "Feces, cockroaches, carpet saturated with animal urine, and a strong ammonia smell from the house itself.... It's not a livable condition."

Investigators called Child Protective Services, who removed the children from residence and placed them with relatives. Animal control officers caged up and removed dozens of animals who were transported to the Elkhart County Humane Society.

Amy Bachman, who lived in the home with her three children (ages 3, 7, and 10), said the family was trying to care for the animals.

"This is not a puppy mill," said Bachman. "We gave these animals a loving home. These are not just dogs, they are my babies."

Misty Seabolt, who lived inside the home with her 10-year-old daughter agreed with Bachman.

"We've never sold one of these dogs that we've given away to a home. All we asked is that they took care of them. We never sold any of them," said Seabolt.

Three adults were arrested at the scene. Thomas Seabolt (Misty's husband) and Mark Martinez were arrested on outstanding warrants. Gloria Demoss, 52, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge.

"I'm moving..... I've got until Thursday morning. That's when we go to court to get our children back. And, my first thing is getting a house to take my daughter to, and getting out of here, said Bachman.

Here we have 8 adults raising kids in a trash can, and yet when they get caught, they're yapping about giving dogs a loving home? WTF is up with that?

I'm not sure what's so loving about raising young kids in a stinkhole infested with fleas and cockroaches - but no one should be taking care of 45 animals when they obviously can't even take care of themselves.

My second issue is with the lack of charges. These adults should all be charged with child endangerment or a similar charge. Where are the animal abuse charges?

And why the hell would these people have any expectation of getting their children back, when they haven't proven they can provide a safe environment for these kids?

Deputies Nab Three Tweedle-Dumbs After Man Rides Motorcycle Around With Baby On HIs Lap

Jonesborough, Tennessee (The Weekly Vice) - Billy Hale, a 21-year-old Jonesboro man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly rode a motorcycle while holding an 18-month-old baby in his lap. Deputies arrest two additional tweedle-dumbs at the scene.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was on patrol when he spotted Hale riding an off-road motorcycle without a helmet. After stopping the suspect, the deputy discovered Hale had an 18-month-old child on the bike with him, who was also not wearing a helmet.

The deputy made the stop after following Hale home. There he discovered Hale had a suspended license and an outstanding warrant for motorcycle theft. He was taken into custody on charges of reckless endangerment, evading arrest and driving on a suspended license.

While at the residence, officers spoke with 27-year-old James Hale who had an outstanding warrant in North Carolina. He was taken into custody on a fugitive of justice charge. His bond was set at $10,000.

While deputies were interviewing the child's mother, they spotted a man, identified as 18-year-old Scott Stout, who was attempting to hide in a barn next to the residence.

Stout was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing, burglary, evading arrest and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $14,000.

Katie And Scott Parker Fancied A Fearsome Foursome

Syracuse, New York (The Weekly Vice) - Katie Parker, a 20-year-old Syracuse woman was arrested after she and her husband, Scott Parker, allegedly had sex in front of two young boys before engaging in sexual contact with them.

According to Syracuse police, Parker invited two boys (ages 9 and 12) to the home she shared with her husband, 19-year-old Scott Parker.

While the two boys were inside the home, Katie and Scott Parker allegedly had sex in front of the two boys and later had sexual contact with them. The alleged sexual contact was reported to police about a week later.

Investigators say the boys were neighbors with the couple, who have since split-up and moved out of the Syracuse residence.

Katie Parker was booked into jail on a charge of felony child abuse and child endangerment.

Scott Parker has not yet been charged, but detectives are attempting to locate him for questioning.

Longwood, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Nioshka Bello, a 22-year-old Florida woman was arrested Tuesday on murder charges after she allegedly strangled her 2-year-old daughter to death with a bra.

According to the Casselberry Police Department, Bello's daughter, Janessa Sandoval, was declared dead on Saturday after she was found unresponsive in Bello's mother's apartment.

Bello and her daughter were staying with Bello's mother and stepfather in an apartment, when alleged murder-suicide attempt took place. She was hospitalized after she reportedly swallowed up to 20 Benedryl tablets following her daughter's murder. Police took her into custody Tuesday after she was released from the hospital.

Investigators say Bello admitted to strangling her daughter and couldn't explain why she waited 12 hours before reported the child's death to anyone. Investigators described Bello's demeanor as seeming uninterested in her daughter's welfare or condition.

Bello was booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility on charges of 1st-degree murder. Bail was denied and an arraignment hearing was set for November 3rd.

St. Johnsbury, Vermont (The Weekly Vice) - Brenda Simard-Reid, a 40-year-old Vermont woman was arraigned Monday on charges she sent a 13-year-old girl photographs of humans having sex with donkeys.

According to police, an investigation was launched after a 13-year-old girl's foster parents discovered the teen had been sent photographs of humans having sex with animals, including donkeys. The incident was then reported to the Vermont Department of Children and Families.

Investigators say the images were sent to the teen's phone by Simard-Reid, who is reportedly a relative of the victim. The images were sent last May, according to court records.

Simard-Reid was booked into jail on six counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor. She pleaded not guilty to all six counts. Simard Reid's attorney argued that other individuals had access to the phone and could have sent the photographs.

The victim's phone was confiscated because she was viewing the images while riding the school bus.

Stuart, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Robert Stark Higgins, a 21-year-old Florida man was arrested Saturday after he broke into a resident's backyard and jumped naked into a pool while covered with feces.

According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office, a naked Higgins, who was covered with feces, broke into a resident's backyard and helped himself to the resident's pool.

Deputies say the resident became alarmed when he heard Higgins crash through the screen of his pool and proceed to go for a swim. Higgens then reportedly grabbed a towel and fled the scene.

Higgins, who deputies said had been drinking, was arrested a short time later.

He was booked into the Martin County Jail on charges of burglary to an occupied dwelling, disorderly conduct and misdemeanor theft. Bail was set at $10,500.

Cassandra Lauderdale Butchered Her Dog With A Knife While Bewildered Bystanders Heard Yelps From The Bathroom

Stuart, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Cassandra Lauderdale, a 23-year-old Florida woman was arrested Monday after she stabbed her dog to death while bewildered witnesses stood by.

According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office, deputies were responding to a 911 call when they discovered a dog that had been stabbed multiple times in the neck.

Investigators say deputies arrived at the woman's residence around 10:30 p.m. to find a crowd of people inside - including Lauderdale, who appeared agitated.

Witnesses told deputies that Lauderdale took a dog into the bathroom and repeatedly stabbed it in the bath tub. They told deputies the dog could be heard yelping as Lauderdale delivered blow after blow with the knife.

After Lauderdale informed deputies that she "had a right to kill the dog and it was no one's business," she eventually lead investigators to the back yard where a dead dog was found with multiple deep stab wounds to the neck.

Deputies found blood and blood soaked clothing scattered about the scene of the attack as well as a bloody knife that was left in the bathroom sink. No reason was given as to why the woman attacked her dog.

Lauderdale was booked into the Martin County Jail on a single charge of cruelty to animals. Bail in her case was set at $2,500.

Samantha Medina Filed A Police Report She Likely Wishes She Hadn’t - Jailed After Filing Police Report Over Stolen Marijuana

Salem, New Hampshire (The Weekly Vice) - When Samantha Medina's friends refused to pay for a bag of marijuana she had just sold to them, she did what any person would do in a theft situation. She called police to complain. Oops.

According to Salem police, Medina called mall security and the Salem police department Saturday after she was cheated out of payment for a small bag of marijuana.

Investigators say Medina arranged to sell marijuana to two acquaintances who worked at a food court restaurant inside The Mall of Rockingham Park. After Medina handed over the pot, the two acquaintances reportedly grabbed the bag, slammed the door shut and refused to pay.

Medina first alerted mall security to the theft before finally contacting Salem police.

Officers responding to the complaint found the bag of marijuana and promptly arrested all three suspects.

Samantha Medina, 17-year-old Vincent Brown and 21-year-old Danielle Fiore were booked into jail on a charge of possessing a controlled drug. All three were released pending an arraignment hearing in Salem District Court.

LaRhonda McCall Caged After Locking Son In Closet For Over Four Years

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (The Weekly Vice) – LaRhonda McCall, 37, and her friend Steve Hamilton, 38, were arrested Saturday after a battered and beaten 14-year-old boy told authorities he had been locked inside a closet for four and a half years.

According to police, a 14-year-old approached a security guard at the Oklahoma National Guard Armory and told him the sad story of the last four and a half years of his life: He had been imprisoned inside his mother’s apartment since she had moved to Oklahoma from New Jersey, and was usually kept locked inside a closet.

Investigators say the boy was thin, hungry, emaciated and covered with scars. The boy told investigators he hadn't eaten for about a week and appeared as if he hadn't bathed in quite some time.

The victim told detectives he was repeatedly beaten, choked, and whipped with cords. His arms, neck and body were scarred and bruised. Although the boy was unable to say where he lived, police were able to locate McCall and Hamilton at her apartment Saturday morning. They were taken to police headquarters, interviewed, and arrested.

McCall and Hamilton were booked in to Oklahoma County Jail where they were each charged with 20 counts of child abuse and 20 counts of child neglect. They are being held on $400,000 bond.

Henry Carseres Burglarized Woman’s Home While She Was Away - Asked Her For Glass Of Water Before Fleeing The Scene

Vero Beach, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Henry Carseres, a 27-year-old Florida man was arrested Friday after he burglarized a home and then asked the homeowner for a glass of water before he fled.

According to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, a woman returned home at around 12:30 Friday to find Carseres burglarizing her home.

Investigators say Carseres was happy to leave when she arrived, but not before asking the woman for a glass of water.

Carseres, who was listed by deputies as a homeless man, was booked into the Indian River County Jail on a charge of burglary. He is currently being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond.

Patrick Leithead Picked The Wrong Bathroom Stall To Molest A Kid In

Stone Mountain Park, Georgia (The Weekly Vice) – Patrick Leithead, 36, of Stone Park was arrested September 20th when an off-duty officer caught him molesting a girl in a park bathroom.

Deputy Ruth Stringer of the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office says she was at Stone Mountain Park when she sensed something was up in the bathroom stall next to her.

Her instincts proved correct – Leithead was sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl just inches away – and the girl's parents, who were waiting for her outside the bathroom, were unaware of what was happening.

According to Stringer, she first noticed the man’s shoes underneath the stall wall and described that the voice of the teen sounded distressed. She ordered Leithead out of the stall and went to the girl, who appeared to be shaken and disheveled. When the girl assured her she was okay, Stringer shouted for someone to call 911.

But Deputy Stringer wasn’t the only off-duty officer who would assist in the apprehension of this filthy pervert – an officer with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was also nearby and had seen Leithead earlier observing women outside the bathroom. She detained the suspect until authorities arrived, while Stringer took care of the victim.

Leithead was booked on charges of aggravated child molestation. He is being held without bond.

Quincy Forrester Has A Sleep Disorder - Charged With Entering Women’s Apartments, Massaging Their Legs As They Slept

Malta, Illinois (The Weekly Vice) - Quincy Forrester, a 19-year-old college student was arrested Sunday after he allegedly entered multiple women's apartments and rubbed their legs as they slept.

According to Aurora police, an Illinois state trooper arrested Forrester after he was spotted prowling about the apartment complex and acting suspiciously while dressed in all-black clothing.

Investigators say Forrester admitted to entering the apartments of several women to watch them sleep. He reportedly acknowledged touching the women's legs, according to State Attorney's Office spokesman, Paul Darrah.

"Nothing was taken in any of the incidence," stated an Aurora Police Dept press release. "Police reports indicate that in each incident, the victims woke up when they were touched, and Forrester ran from their apartments."

Forrester, who is a student at Kishwaukee Community College, was booked into jail on three counts of criminal trespass to a residence. His bond was set at $100,000.

Peter Reilly Was Pissed Off And He Wasn’t Going To Take It Any More - Jailed After Threatening Police Officer With BB Gun

Huntley, Illinois (The Weekly Vice) - Peter J. Reilly, an 85-year-old Illinois man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly threatened a police sergeant with a BB gun during dispute over a parking ticket.

According Huntley Police, the incident began when Reilly entered the lobby of the Huntley Police Department around 2 p.m. and began complaining to a sergeant on duty about a parking ticket he had received.

During the conversation, Reilly reportedly became angry and pulled out a BB gun that was concealed under a hat he was carrying. Reilly then allegedly pointed the BB gun at the sergeant, who was protected behind a bulletproof glass.

Although Reilly refused to follow commands to drop the weapon, officers rushed the lobby and apprehended the man without further incident.

Police didn't realize the man was carrying a BB gun initially because it was equipped with a laser sight, similar to real handgun.

Reilly was booked into the McHenry County Jail on a charge of misdemeanor unlawful use of a weapon. He was released after posting a $100 cash bond.

How surprising is that? A man walks into a police station and points a gun at an officer - yet he's charged with only a misdemeanor and gets out on a $100 bond?

Something tells me this county won't be worried about jail overcrowding any time soon.

Horace Dean - Caged On Charges Of Sexually Assaulting 4 Year Old Girl With Screwdriver

Vero Beach, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Horace Dean, a 67-year-old Florida man, was arrested Thursday on charges he sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl with a screwdriver.

According to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, the alleged sexual assault was discovered after the child's mother brought her into a hospital to be examined for a suspected urinary tract infection.

Investigators say an investigation was launched after medical personnel at River Medical Center treated the girl for vaginal injuries. The mother told detectives that her daughter had been complaining about vaginal irritation for several weeks. The girl then told her mother and detectives that she had been abused by Dean with a screwdriver, according to the arrest affidavit.

Dean was booked into the Indian River County Jail on a charge of capital sexual battery. Bond in his case was set at $50,000.

Deputies Find Loaded Handguns, Drugs, A Screaming Kid And A Very Annoyed Pit Bull After Woman Forgets To Wear Her Seat Belt

Soquel, California (The Weekly Vice) - Sarah Pippo, 29, and Jesse Peters, 37, were arrested Tuesday after deputies discovered two loaded handguns, drugs and the couple's crying son after pulling vehicle over for seat belt violation..

According to Santa Cruz County authorities, Pippo and Peters first attracted a deputy's attention when he appeared to be driving suspiciously. After noticing the female passenger wasn't wearing a seat belt, the deputy went ahead and pulled the couple's truck over.

After the deputy observed Peters acting nervously and reaching for something in his pocket, he asked the couple to step out of the vehicle, so he could conduct a pat down search.

While searching Peters, deputies found a loaded .22 caliber handgun and methamphetamine hidden in his pocket. When deputies patted down Pippo, they discovered a large stash of meth (67 grams) hidden inside the woman's panties. A second loaded handgun was found in the trucks center console.

Investigators couldn't help but notice one more thing in the car - Peter's 7-year-old son who was crying hysterically in the back seat.

Peters was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on charges of driving under the influence of drugs, possessing and transporting methamphetamine for sale, carrying a loaded gun while possessing drugs for sale and child endangerment. His bail was set at $385,000.

Pippo was jailed on suspicion of possessing meth for sale. Bail in her case was set at $10,000.

The child was taken into protective custody while a pit bull that was also in the vehicle was turned over to animal services.

Police Make Arrest In Case Involving Duct Taped Cat

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (The Weekly Vice) - Sticky, the duct tape wrapped cat we featured last week finally found justice Sunday with the arrest of James Davis, 19, who admitted to wrapping the cat in duct tape and dumping her in a Philadelphia yard.

Authorities say investigators with the Humane Law Enforcement agency received an anonymous tip about Davis and that evidence corroborated the tip. When officers spoke with Davis about the incident, he reportedly confessed to abusing the animal.

According to the Pennsylvania SPCA, a reward of $2,000 was offered in exchange for information that led to the arrest of the person responsible for torturing Sticky.

Davis told investigators that incident was out of character for him and that he "didn't know what came over him."

Investigators say Davis told them that he became annoyed at the cat for being in his yard. He then duct taped the cat and left it in his yard for a few hours - but soon grew tired of the cat's screaming. That's when police say he decided to dump the cat in another neighbor's yard.

Officers described Davis as remorseful. The court may order a psychological evaluation in the event of a trial.

Davis was booked into jail on charges of cruelty to animals and possessing an instrument of crime.

Corey Munn - Jailed After Having Ongoing Sex With Woman Without Telling Her He Was HIV Positive

St. Petersburg, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Corey Robert Munn, a 40-year-old Florida man was arrested Tuesday on charges he repeatedly had sex with woman without ever telling her he had HIV.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Munn engaged in a consensual sexual relationship with a woman for 18 months while neglecting to tell her he was infected with the HIV virus.

Deputies also charged Munn in connection to two incidents of domestic battery and witness tampering involving the same woman.

Dunn was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on charges of unlawful acts/sexual disease, battery, failure to appear/battery, tampering with a witness and violation of pretrial release. He was released after posting a $5,005 bond.
