Lake Villa, Illinois (The Weekly Vice) - Cori Rivelli, a 26-year-old therapist at Kids Hope United in Lake Villa, Illinois was arrested Thursday on charges of having sex with a 14-year old boy she was employed to council.

According to police, Rivelli - who is a councilor employed by the special needs organization, Kids Hope United, repeatedly had sex with a teen boy who was under her care.

Investigators say Rivelli had sex with the boy on several occasions over the summer at her Libertyville apartment after she picked him up from the facility to visit his parents.

The alleged sexual activity came to light after staff workers overheard both the victim and Rivelli talking to others about the the sexual encounters. Rivelli also reportedly told a co-worker about the alleged relationship.

The employees contacted the Department Of Children And Family Services and police, while placing Rivelli on administrative leave.

Rivelli was booked into the Lake County Jail on a charge of criminal sexual assault in lieu of a $200,000 bond. She is scheduled to make a first appearance on Tuesday.

Robert Engeman Was Begging For A Kick In The Ass - Charged With DUI After Driving Drunk To A Police Station

Coralville, Iowa (The Weekly Vice) - Every village has its idiot and 53-year-old Robert Lynn Engeman took the title in Coralville when he arrived at a police station drunk off his ass.

According to Coralville Police, Engeman had arrived at the station to pick up forms when an employee at the station noticed a strong odor of alcohol emminating from Engeman and alerted officers.

Investigators say Engeman then left the station in a cargo van, however an officer was able to catch up to him and pull him over. Engeman allegedly failed a field sobriety test, and registered a .186 BAC.

He was booked into the Johnson County Jail on a third-offense drunk driving charge. He was still in custody on Wednesday.

Wendy Cannin - Teacher - Begins School Year In Handcuffs After Extending A Little Sex Education To Two Students Over The Summer

Heppner, Oregon (The Weekly Vice) - Wendy Cannin, a 30-year-old math teacher and junior high track coach at Heppner Junior / Senior High School was arrested Monday on charges of having sex with two male students.

According to the Morrow County Sheriff's Office, Cannin was arrested around 11 a.m. while the school she teaches at began it's first day of class.

Investigators say Cannin engaged in sexual activity with two male students, aged 15 and 17.

The sexual activited reportedly began at the end of the last school year and continued into the middle of July.

Police believe the sexual activity occurred both on and off school property.

According to the school's website, Cannin taught math, business and advised the yearbook staff. She also coached junior high track.

Cannin was booked into the Umatilla County Jail on four counts of 3rd-degree sex abuse, sexual misconduct, 3rd-degree rape and 3rd-degree sodomy. Bail was set at $40,500.

Lauren Story Aims For “Stupid Drunk Of The Year” Award - Wrecks Car With Baby In Backseat Before Attempting To Flee In Victim’s Car

Green Township, Ohio (The Weekly Vice) - Lauren Story, a 21-year-old Ohio mother was arrested Sunday after she drove drunk, got into a wreck and then attempted to drive away in the victim's car, leaving her 19-month-old daughter behind.

According to Green Township Police, Story was intoxicated at nearly three times the legal limit when she rear ended another motorist in a Walgreens parking lot just after 9 p.m.. Story's 19-month-old daughter was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Investigators say the two drivers got out to survey the damage, however when the victim exited his vehicle, Story jumped in his car and attempted to flee the scene - leaving her daughter behind.

Police believe Story was so intoxicated that she mistook the victims automobile as her own, abandoning her daughter in the process.

Police say the victim had to chase down the woman, so she couldn't leave - and was still inside the car when officers arrived. Story's blood alcohol level registered at .205.

Story was booked into jail on charges of child endangering, driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to maintain reasonable control of a motor vehicle and a seat belt violation. She was released on her own recognizance after attending a bond hearing on Monday.

Golf Manor, Ohio (The Weekly Vice) - Christopher Ryan Fears, a 29-year-old Ohio man was arrested Friday on charges that he raped a 14-year-old girl who is now pregnant. Told mother he'd fix things with an abortion....

According to the Golf Manor Police, Fears told them and the teenager's mother that he "made a mistake" when he had sex with the girl back on May 15.

Investigators say the allegations came to light after the teen told her mother she had become pregnant after Fears had raped her. When the teen's mother confronted Fears over the allegations, he explained that he was drunk when the sexual assault occurred.

He then attempted to pacify the teen's mother by offering to pay for an abortion, according to the arrest report.

Unimpressed, the teens mother filed a complaint with the Golf Manor Police Department. Fears also called the chief of police whereby he reportedly admitted to the sexual assault and asked what he could do to get the charges lowered.

Fears was booked into the Hamilton County Jail on charges of statutory rape. Bond was set at $100,000.

Gloversville, New York (The Weekly Vice) - Donald Mureness, 45, and his wife Stacia Mureness, 30, were arrested Wednesday after Donald used Craigslist to pimp out the wife he affectionately referred to as 'Slut Scarlett.'

According to the Albany County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to an advertisement offering Stacia for a day of sex at a local Howard Johnson's motel.

Investigators exchanged emails with the couple in which Donald referred to himself as "Master" and his wife was referred to as "Slut Scarlett".

"He gave her orders. He would tell her what to do, and in return for that it would be $200 dollars," said John Burke of the Sheriff's Office.

"On the other side of that, he wanted to take pictures of you having sex with his wife," said Burke.

Authorities arranged a meeting with the couple, using a deputy to pose as a john. Donald Mureness was arrested and charged with promoting prostitution, while Stacia now faces one count of prostitution.

The arrest was a part of a broader sting operation which nabbed eight female suspects all charged with prostitution.

Waltham, Mass. (The Weekly Vice) - Ashley Servant, a 22-year-old Massachusetts woman was arrested Tuesday after witnesses say she delivered a baby smack-down during a visit to a doctor's office.

According to Waltham Police, Servant was at a doctor's office with a friend when she repeatedly slapped a baby so hard a witness in the waiting room began crying. The doctor was so offended, he kicked Servant out of his office.

Officers that were dispatched to the doctor's office found Servant out in the parking lot after she was expelled from the building.

Investigators say she told them she pushed the baby's hands away after the child grabbed at her facial piercings.

Witnesses inside the waiting room, however, described a completely different scene. They told officers they heard several hard slaps and saw Servant shake the child as the baby cried hysterically.

One woman told officers she "was so upset at the time she began to cry and couldn't believe what was happening," according to the arrest report.

The doctor who was treating Servant's friend stated he was examining the patient with Servant and the child behind him when he "heard two loud slaps".

The doctor turned around and demanded Servant leave the examining room.

Servant, who has three children and is pregnant with a fourth, has had two children removed from her care in the past, according to court records.

Servant was booked into jail on charges of assault and battery and reckless endangerment of a child. Her pretrial hearing has been set for Oct. 8.

Sheena Thompson Messed With The Wrong Family - Charged With Stealing Diamond Rings From Woman Fighting Cancer

Wilmington, Delaware (The Weekly Vice) - Sheena Denise Thompson, a 23-year-old in-house nurses aid was arrested Tuesday after she was caught on surveillance video stealing two diamond rings from a woman fighting cancer.

According to Newark Police, Thompson was employed as an in-house nurse's aid - providing care for a cancer patient - when family members became suspicious.

Investigators say a family member, who monitored the home via a web-based surveillance video system, noticed the nurse entering bedrooms she shouldn't have been in.

The family member went to Thompson's home to confront her and discovered two diamond rings that had been stolen from the patients home. The two rings had reportedly been removed from a filing cabinet inside the house.

Police were called to Thompson's home where they discovered a bag of marijuana in her possession as well.

Thompson was booked into the Baylor Women's Correctional Institute on charges of felony theft, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also apprehended on two outstanding warrants. Bail was set at $4,500.

Even the most casual glance at this woman's MySpace page leaves one begging the question how Thompson ever weaseled her way into health care in the first place.

There was a hint in the report that the marijuana itself belonged to the cancer patient - as marijuana is commonly used by cancer patients to control pain. But the report did not state that definitively.

If this were the case, however, this snake should be banned from working anywhere else other than a McDonald's drive-thru window. Never mess with someone's marijuana.... particularly that of a cancer patient.

Destin, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Sarah Katherine Wright, a 20-year-old Florida woman was arrested last week on drug charges.... But when the cuffs went on, she kicked like a jack rabbit all the way to jail.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Wright was arrested after deputies found a bag of marijuana and two glass smoking pipes in her purse.

But when the deputy placed Wright in handcuffs, she began trying to escape.

Investigators say the kicking began when deputies placed Wright in the back of a patrol car. She reportedly began by attempting to kick out the patrol car windows.

Deputies attempted to bind Wright with leg cuffs, however she resisted with "several forceful kicks," according to the arrest report.

When deputies brought her to the Shalimar courthouse annex for booking, she reportedly continued kicking until officers could finally turn her over to jail intake deputies.

Wright was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of narcotic equipment and felony resisting arrest. Bond amount was not listed in the jail report.

William Evans Convicted Himself Of Molesting Child - Minutes Before A Jury Found Him Innocent

St. Augustine, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - William Telano Evans, a 57-year-old Florida man who was on trial for the sexual battery of a child, killed himself Thursday just minutes before a jury declared him 'Not Guilty'.

According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, Evans was facing charges of sexually abusing a girl nearly three decades ago - and his trial had finally concluded when the jury indicated they had reached a verdict.

When the court came to order, Evan's attorney and wife were present, however Evans was nowhere to be found.

The judge presiding over the case became concerned and sent deputies to the man's home after instructing the jury to go ahead with their verdict. The decision? Not Guilty.

Evan's wife called ahead of deputies: "They found you not guilty, please don't do anything," however she was too late.

When deputies arrived at Evan's home, they found Evans dead of a gunshot wound.

During the trial, the issue was not a debate about IF Evans molested the girl - but rather WHEN the alleged sexual abuse took place. A letter was read in open court from Evans to the victim, whereby he admitted to being "overcome by selfish desire."

Under Florida law, sex crimes against victims under the age of 12 have no statute of limitations. If the victim was 12 years old or older at the time of the assault, the case would be defeated on a statute of limitations basis.

While the victim, now 38, claimed the abuse started when she was 9 or 10 years old, she had previously told investigators the abuse started when her mother had breast implants. Records indicate the breast implant surgery occurred in 1984 when the victim would have been 13 years of age.

The jury found that there was not enough evidence to support the claim she was under the age of 12 when the sexual assault occurred.

Within minutes of making this determination, it appears the years of litigation and wrangling over the issue resulted in a conclusion to the case no one suspected.

Woman Invites Ex-Boyfriend Over For A Visit - New Boyfriend Pops Out Of A Closet With A Baseball Bat - Pummeling Ensues

Athens, Alabama (The Weekly Vice) - Jason Earl Appleton, a 32-year-old Athens man was arrested Thursday after beating his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend with a baseball bat after she had invited him to her home.

According to Athens police, a woman invited her ex-boyfriend over to her home. Once inside, the woman locked the door and all hell broke loose.

Investigators say that's when Appleton, the woman's new boyfriend, popped out of a closet and began pummeling the unwitting victim with a baseball bat.

Police say Appleton struck the victim 21 times before he could finally get the door unlocked and hobble back to his car. Even after the victim reached his vehicle, Appleton continued to pummel him with the bat.

Appleton was booked into the Limestone County Jail on a charge of second-degree assault. Bail was set at $5,000.

Police Nab 76 Fugitives On Promise Of Stimulus Check

Miami, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Fort Lauderdale police nabbed a variety of people wanted on outstanding warrants in cost effective way - Using the promise of a government 'stimulus check' to nab 76 suspects.

Utilizing the name "South Florida Stimulus Coalition", police mailed letters to suspects who were wanted on outstanding warrants, asking them to call a hot line to arrange pick up of their "stimulus check".

Suspects who called were instructed to bring identification in order to claim the money. A time, date and location was also provided.

The department decorated an auditorium to appear authentic, hanging "South Florida Stimulus Coalition" banners over the building's entrance.

Police say suspects arrived, presented I.D and then were led to an adjoining room where they were promptly arrested and transported to jail.

The sting, dubbed "Operation Show Me The Money" was successful in nabbing suspects who were wanted on a variety of charges, including forgery, theft and even attempted murder.

Florida authorities hailed the operation as a way of saving many man hours while providing a safe, controlled environment for taking fugitives into custody.

So who would be dumb enough to fall for such a ploy? Apparently 76 people...

And their respective families...

And other asshats just dying to get nabbed.

“It’s Not Pornography, It’s Art” - Nude Model Arrested During Public Nudity Photo Shoot At New York’s Metropolitan Museum Of Art

New York City, NY (The Weekly Vice) - Kathleen Neill, a 26-year-old model was arrested
Wednesday at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art after participating in a mad-dashed nude photo shoot for Brooklyn based photographer, Zach Hyman.

The photo shoot was just the latest of Hyman's quest to photograph nude women in public places.

Hyman and the model entered the museum and waited until a security guard strolled away. Once given the all-clear, the nude model disrobed and commenced poses while Hyman got his shots.

"Everything was going perfect until the very end," said Hyman. "Then it became a worst-case scenario."

While Hyman was not arrested, his model was - and she now faces a lewdness charge.

"I had to make sure that girl was turned over to the police," said the MET security guard on duty Wednesday. "There were little kids in here watching the whole thing."

Hyman's previous shoot was about a week ago when he captured images of a nude woman on a subway. One subway passenger screamed while an elderly man started shaking - but otherwise, most passengers seemed to hardly notice.

Anthony Mahowald Proves Some People Have Far Too Much Time On Their Hands

Eau Claire, Wisconsin (The Weekly Vice) - Anthony Mahowald, a 22-year-old Wisconsin man has been charged after he was caught repeatedly photographing nude women in dressing rooms. Child porn was found on his computer.

Prosecutors filed charges August 21 after he was allegedly caught several times taking photographs of unsuspecting women who were partially nude in bedrooms and dressing rooms.

Investigators say Mahowald first crossed their radar when an Eau Claire man walked outside to get his newspaper Feb 16 and saw a man peeking into the bathroom window of his home as his wife got ready for work.

Although the suspect jumped into a car and fled, the homeowner was able to get the vehicle's license plate number and call police. Police identified Mahowald and placed a GPS monitoring device on his vehicle.

Mahowald was then arrested April 29 after a female customer saw a man stick a camera phone underneath the dressing room door of a Lake Hallie Farm and Fleet retail store. Police found 32 photos on his camera phone including photographs of nude and partially nude women.

Police obtained a search warrant for Mahowald's residence which turned up additional photos and videos. A video camera was found containing videos of two women taking their clothing off in a bedroom. A search of Mahowald's computer revealed child pornography.

Mahowald now faces five counts of possession of child pornography, capturing an image of nudity without consent, two counts of invasion of privacy and attempting to capture a nudity image without consent.

A check of his Wisconsin CCAP record revealed Mahowald also has convictions for 4th-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct.

The Doctor Will See You Now - Dr. Steven Pack Arrested After Two Teen Girls Catch Him Photographing Them While Changing Clothes In An Exam Room

Lehi, Utah (The Weekly Vice) - Dr. Steven R. Pack, a 50-year-old board-certified emergency physician was arrested Thursday after he was allegedly caught taking photographs of females who were undressing in an exam room.

According to Lehi Police, Pack used a hidden camera placed in an exam room to capture two employees, aged 18 and 19, as they changed clothes in an exam room.

Investigators say Pack asked the teens to test out X-Ray equipment and instructed them to change clothing in a specific exam room. While undressing, the two girls found a camera located inside the exam room taped to a wall.

The alleged incident came to light when one of the girls called police, according to Lehi Police Lt. Darren Paul.

"During the course of the investigation, the officers recovered recording equipment and also digital images," said Paul. "He took efforts to delete the evidence."

Dr. Pack's license to prescribed a controlled substance was suspended in 2005 after he wrote prescriptions in employees' names, but then couldn't account for the medications. He pleaded guilty to two felony counts of issuing improper prescriptions, however, the charges were held in abeyance and then lifted after two years.

In 2007, Pack's license was placed on a five-year probation period, with an independent physician checking his prescription use with patients.

Pack was booked into the Utah County Jail on two counts of voyeurism and one count of evidence tampering - both misdemeanors. He was released after posting bail.

Gregory Tyrrell Is The “Towel Boy” - Sex Offender Covered Himself With Towels Before Entering Women’s Locker Room

Lincoln, Nebraska (The Weekly Vice) - Gregory Tyrrell, a 45-year-old registered sex offender in Nebraska was arrested Tuesday after he covered himself completely with towels and repeatedly entered the women's locker room at a Lincoln health club.

According to police, Tyrrell exhibited suspicious behavior at two Lincoln area health clubs by repeatedly entering their locker rooms after covering his head and body with towels. Only his eyes and hairy legs were showing.

Investigators say Tyrrell was caught on surveillance video Aug 20 entering the locker room area 40 times over a four hour period. He arrived in street clothing several times using a fake gym pass before undressing and then covering himself with towels.

Tyrrell was also seen entering the women's locker room at another health club at least three times. He was dressed head to knee in towels on those occasions as well. He reportedly attempted to enter the club a fourth time on Aug. 20, but was turned away at the door.

Authorities arrested Tyrrell in the locker room at Madonna Proactive Health and Fitness, according to police spokesperson, Katie Flood.

He was booked into jail on suspicion of 1st-degree criminal trespass and theft of services.

Tyrrell spent more than 16 years in jail for burglary and assault charges and is registered as a level three sex offender.

Man Beaten With Baseball Bat After Two Women With Sharpie Marker Brows Lure Him With Promise Of Sex

Merced, California (The Weekly Vice) – Crystal Baeza 24, and Sara Kellum, 29, have been arrested after promising a man sex before beating him with a baseball bat and crow bar in an apparent plot to rob him.

According to the Merced County Sheriff's Office, the victim met the two women at a car wash they were holding to raise money for Kellum’s boyfriend, who had been killed during a stabbing.

The women led the man to believe that they would perform sexual favors for him, at which point they got into the man’s vehicle and drove to a liquor store for a little pre-sex cheer.

After leaving the liquor store, the happy trio drove further until the man’s car blew a tire.

After Kellum called a friend back at the car wash to come pick them up, the good times took a painful turn.

When the girls' ride arrived, they pulled out a crow bar and baseball bat and proceeded to pummel the man with them before stealing his wallet. The women then climbed into their friend's vehicle and fled the scene.

Deputies identified Baeza as their first suspect and and took her into custody Aug 19. A search of her home revealed evidence linking her to the assault and robbery.

They also arrested her sister, 25-year-old Erica Aguilar, who was not involved in the robbery but allegedly used the man’s credit cards.

Kellum was arrested five days later at her residence.

Kellum was booked suspicion of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime and is being held in lieu of $80,000 bail.

Baeza was booked on the arrest warrant for robbery and two outstanding felony warrants and is being held in lieu of $300,000 bail.

Aguilar was booked on suspicion of using stolen credit cards, and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
