Royal Palm Beach, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Lorena Alvarez, a 33-year-old Royal Palm Beach woman was charged Wednesday after ramming her boyfriend's truck with car loaded with kids. Told Deputies she was "worried" about him driving drunk.

According to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Deputies, Alvarez had an interesting method of preventing her boyfriend from driving drunk. Load her two sons (aged 1 and 7) into the car and play a little bumper cars.

Investigators say Alvarez piled her kids in the car and went to find her boyfriend when she noticed he hadn't come home.

When she found him inside his truck in a Winn Dixie parking lot, she suspected he was drunk and commenced slamming into his truck. She reportedly backed up and crashed into the truck several times before deputies arrived.

Although Alvarez was charged and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Wednesday, the incident reportedly occurred on April 13.

She now faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and two counts of cruelty towards a child/child abuse without great bodily harm. Bail in her case was set at $9,000.

Police Chief Caught Red Handed - Jailed After Park Ranger Catches Police Chief Engaged In “Public Indecency” With Male Friend

Brooklyn, Ohio (The Weekly Vice) -- Olmsted Township Police Chief Charles McNeeley, 60, was arrested Tuesday after park rangers say they caught him committing a lewd act in public with another man.

According to Cleveland Metroparks Rangers, an officer was out on patrol when she reportedly happened upon two men engaged in a lewd act in public. Little did she know one of those men happened to be the Olmstead Township Chief Of Police.

The Ranger stated she was on patrolling on foot when she saw two men seated in their vehicles at the Memphis Picnic Area in the Cleveland Metroparks Big Creek Reservation.

According to the Ranger's report, McNeeley exited his vehicle with his pants undone, walked over to the other man's vehicle and opened the door. The two men then reportedly became engaged in a lewd act together.

When the ranger approached, McNeeley reportedly jumped in his vehicle and began to drive away, but was stopped by the ranger.

The report stated McNeeley admitted that he was going to perform a sexual act on the man but didn't. He reportedly asked the ranger to give him a warning, promising he would never return to the park again.

Charles McNeeley and the other man, identified as Daniel Crown, were arrested on a charge of public indecency. They were both released after posting a $1,000 bond.

Daniel Whelchel Gives Grandmother A Choice - Broken Neck Or Beating To Death. Said He Was Tired Of Waiting For Her To Die

Ada Oklahoma (The Weekly Vice) -- Daniel Lewis Whelchel, a 20-year-old Oklahoma man was arrested Monday after attempting to beat grandmother to death because he "was tired of waiting for her to die."

According to the Pontotoc County Sheriff's Office, Whelchel attempted to beat his grandmother to death before leaving her to die next to pond.

Investigators say Whelchel asked his grandmother to take him to the store Sunday and then to some property the family previously owned.

When the two arrived at the property, Whelchel allegedly told the woman he was "tired of waiting for her to die and that he was going to take matters into his own hands," according to Pontotoc County Sheriff, John Christian.

"He asked her if she wanted her neck broken or did she just want him to beat her to death," said Christian.

When the grandmother declined both choices, Whelchel allegedly attacked her - first attempting to break her neck. He then resorted to beating and kicking her in the head, said Christian.

After the attack, Whelchel reportedly fled the scene with the car, leaving his grandmother to die next to a pond. The woman spent several hours crawling to the nearest house.

Whelchel, who lives with his grandmother, was arrested at her house later the same morning.

He was booked into the Pontotoc County Jail on a charge of attempted murder. Bail has not yet been set in the case.

Gina Watring - Teacher’s Assistant Charge With Having Sex With 10 Year Old. Allegedly Went Back For Seconds

Durham, North Carolina (The Weekly Vice) -- Gina Marie Watring, a 40-year-old teacher's assistant at Creekside Elementary School in Durham, NC was arrested Wednesday on charges of repeatedly having sex with a 10-year-old boy.

According to the Durham County Sheriff's Office, reportedly had sexual intercourse with a 1o-year-old student on at least two occasions.

Investigators say Watring and the boy had sex on April 10 and April 21. Few other details about the case were disclosed by the Sheriff's Office.

Watring was booked into the Durham County Jail on two counts of first-degree sex offense with a child. Bond in her case was set at $100,000.

She resigned her position at the school on Tuesday.

Molly Collins Wanted A Makeover - Jailed After Stealing Bridesmaid Wedding Gifts

Naples, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Molly S. Collins, a 19-year-old Naples woman was arrested Sunday after stealing hundreds of dollars in cosmetics from bridesmaids who were attending a wedding reception.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, Collins was attending a wedding reception as a guest when she reportedly stole $350 worth of cosmetics that the bride had given as gifts to her bridesmaids.

Investigators say Collins stole the cosmetics along with a wallet belonging to one of the bridesmaids while the reception was in progress.

Collins was booked into the Collier County Jail on a charge of grand theft. Bond in her case was set at $5,000.

One of the women, Lavelle, told officer "happy" that for $200, he could get "anything."

After telling the officer to "get comfortable" and take off his clothes, she left the room. When she returned, she began massaging his penis..... Think he stopped her right away before arresting her? Yeah Right.

Deputy Resigns After Convicted Felon Wife, Mother And Boy Wonder Takes His Patrol Car For Joyride

Lakeland, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Charles Buckner, a 44-year-old Polk County Sheriff's Deputy resigned Monday after his wife and two others took his Sheriff's Office patrol car for a joy ride around Lakeland.

Buckner, a 21-year veteran of the Polk County Sheriff's Office resigned after his wife, Gail, his wife's mother and a 19-year-old man were caught inside the patrol car as it cavorted around town.

Investigators first learned of the incident at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. A witness called 911, reporting that he had seen a patrol car being driven erratically with lights on and the siren blaring - The witness also reported two blond women in the front seat and a man in the back seat.

Deputies caught up with the wayward patrol car and followed it back to the deputy's home. Charles Buckner was reportedly sleeping when the trio commandeered the patrol car.

Gail Buckner, 38, Sharon Cooper, 54, and Alexander Quintasket, 19, were immediately taken into custody. Deputies recovered a 12-gauge shotgun from the vehicle.

Polk County Sheriff, Grady Judd, said he was "infuriated and embarrassed by the conduct of Buckner's family," but stated that he didn't think the deputy was aware that his family had taken the vehicle.

He also noted that the deputy's wife, Gail, is a convicted felon with a criminal record that dates back to before the couple married.

Buckner and Cooper were booked into the Polk County Jail on charges of auto theft, theft of a firearm and impersonating an officer.

Quintasket was booked into jail on charges of grand theft, impersonating an officer, grand theft of a firearm, resisting arrest and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Quintasket was reportedly out on bond for armed robbery when the incident occurred.

Kimberly Bean Caused A Scene - Jailed After Deputies Find Child Living Among Pot Plants, Needles, Syringes, Trash, Dirty Clothes And Feces

Fort Pierce, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Kimberly S. Bean, a 44-year-old Florida woman was arrested Monday on child neglect charges after deputies find a child living among pot plants, drug needles, trash, feces and syringes.

According to the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office, deputies initially arrested Bean and others after finding pot plants growing at her home. She was also arrested on charges of larceny, obstruction of justice and dealing in stolen property.

Investigators say they also found hypodermic needles littered throughout the home. A pot plant was growing on the front porch and the floors were covered with dirty clothes, trash and feces.

Bean reportedly admitted that she and her boyfriend used the syringes to inject some of the drugs used at the home.

Bean was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail on charges of child neglect, marijuana producing, marijuana possession, possession of narcotics equipment, resisting arrest and providing a false statement for public aid. Bond for 5 of the charges was set at $9,000.

Lisa Coker Had A Score To Settle - Crashed Ex-Boyfriend’s Wedding Reception With Crowbar And Razor

Tampa, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Lisa Marie Coker, a 19-year-old Tampa woman was arrested early last week after she crashed her ex-boyfriend's wedding reception armed with a razor and a crowbar.

According to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, a newly married couple was busy celebrating their wedding reception, when Coker arrived at the door with some unusual gifts.

Gail Hosey, the mother of the groom, answered a knock at the door to find Coker standing in the doorway.

When Hosey refused to allow Coker in, the uninvited wedding crasher attacked her with the crowbar until she was finally disarmed of it. The confrontation then degenerated into a bout of hair pulling.

Eventually, Coker sought to end the conflict by slashing the groom's mother with a razor blade.

Deputies arrived on scene to break up the brawl - which sent the groom's mother to the hospital for 16 stitches to her arm.

Coker was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on charges of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and grand theft. Bond has not yet been ordered in the case.

Kora Luster Went On A Panty Raid - Jailed After Bringing Children Along On A Panty-Free Shopping Spree

Fort Pierce, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Kora Jade Luster, a 19-year-old Port St. Lucie woman was arrested Thursday on charges of bringing two children along on a quest for panties.

According to Port St. Lucie authorities, Luster entered an area Wal-Mart along with her 3-year-old son and a 15-year-old girl and attempted to steal several pairs of underwear.

Security personnel at the store reportedly saw Luster and the teenage girl select a pair of underwear, which the girl concealed in her pocket.

Security personnel asked an employee to walk near Luster and the two children in an effort to caution them against the theft, however when the associate left, the girl reportedly grabbed another pair of panties. She then gave them to Luster who went to a fitting room and put them on, according to the arrest report.

Luster was stopped at the door while attempted to exit the store without paying for the items. After denying the theft, Luster eventually acknowledged stealing the underwear after viewing a security camera recording of the incident.

Luster was booked into the Port St. Lucie Jail on charges of retail theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The 15-year-old involved was also arrested on a retail theft charge.

The panties in question were recovered, according to the arrest report.

Jesse Fierstine Blows Serious Fuse - Beats Father With Flashlight, Cuts Pacemaker Out Of HIs Chest With Pocket Knife

Manchester, Iowa (The Weekly Vice) -- Jesse Fierstine, a 32-year-old Iowa man was arrested Saturday after police say he beat his father over the head and then cut the man's pacemaker out of his chest with a pocket knife.

Yeah, you read that right - pocket knife.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, Fierstine struck his 63-year-old father over the head with a flashlight and then beat him with a piece of firewood Saturday. Once his father was down, Fierstine proceeded to cut his father's chest open and dig out his pacemaker with a pocket knife.

Authorities were alerted by way of a 911 call at about 10:30 Saturday night.

The victim, identified as Charles Fierstine was rushed to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. Details of his condition were still unknown as of Sunday night.

Fierstine was booked into the Delaware County Jail on a charge of attempted murder. Bail has not been set in the case.

Rebecca Taylor Dropped Her Price - Jailed After Attempting To Sell Baby For Rent Money

Charleston, West Virginia (The Weekly Vice) -- Rebecca Sue Taylor, a 19-year-old Charleston woman was charged Wednesday with trying to sell her 5-month-old son for rent money.

According to police, Taylor offered to sell her baby to another woman - identified as Leigh Burr - for $10,000.

Investigators say Taylor told the woman she wasn't able to bond with the baby and needed the money to buy a new apartment. When the woman didn't take the deal, Taylor allegedly dropped her price to $5,000.

The two women had allegedly talked about Taylor serving as a surrogate mother for Burr when the alleged offer was made. Police became aware of the plot when Burr went to police, according to Charleston Police Sgt E.L. Hodges.

Taylor was booked into the South Central Regional Jail on a charge of offering the purchase or sale of a child. Bond in her case was set at $2,500.

Hold the presses. $2,500 bond? Really? Is the legal system out in Charleston so mangled that a woman can sell a child and yet walk out of jail on a pathetic $2,500 bond?

Iverness, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Jeramie L. Eichhorn, a 29-year-old Citrus County Florida man was arrested Thursday morning on charges of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old boy.

According to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, a four-year-old boy told investigators that he had been molested by Eichhorn while in his bedroom. He also told investigators that one of Eichhorn's underage relatives had unknowingly been the target of a lewd act as well.

We're withholding the identities and relation of both children, however they both knew Eichhorn.

The alleged incidence came to light after authorities were tipped on April 16.

Eichhorn was booked into the Citrus County Jail on a charge of sexual battery on a person under 18. Bond has not yet been set in the case.

We owe a debt of gratitude to whoever tipped authorities to the twisted, sick antics of this burn out. Apparently there were kids all over the place. Kenzi Friday - Texas Teacher Jailed After Allegedly Giving Student A Thorough Geography Lesson

Midland, Texas (The Weekly Vice) -- Kenzi Friday, a 23-year-old Geography teacher and cheerleader coach at Midland High School, in Midland, TX was arrested Friday on charges of having a sexual relationship with a male student.

According to the Midland Police Department, Friday was arrested on a charge of having an improper educator/student relationship with a 17-year-old male student. She was released after posting a $25,000 bond.

Investigators say Friday began a sexual relationship with the student around the start of the school year which continued until the beginning of April. The alleged incidences occurred at a home in Midland.

The allegations came to light after another teacher reported possible inappropriate activity between the student and teacher. An investigation was launched, leading to Friday's arrest.

Friday, a married 2004 Midland High graduate, has been with MISD since Feb. 2007. She submitted her resignation from the district on Friday morning.

If convicted of the charge, Friday faces at least two years and not more than 20 years in jail and up to a $10,000 fine.

“These are very serious allegations and the entire situation is upsetting to us all. We fully support the investigation and await more information from local law enforcement,” said Superintendent Sylvester Perez.

Lehigh Acres, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Christle Thompson, a 31-year-old Lehigh Acres woman was arrested Wednesday after police say she abandoned her young children inside dirty house for more than 24 hours.

Lee County authorities say Thompson left her children alone in a home that was described as "unlivable". 24 hours later, her children still hadn't seen or heard from her.

The children, who's ages ranged from 1 to 13-year-old, told investigators that their mother left at 8:30 Tuesday morning. By 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, she still had not called or arrived home.

Authorities first learned of the alleged abandonment when the father of four of the children called to report the children were alone. One child was reportedly left with an unnamed adult.

Investigators rounded up all five children and placed them in the custody of CFS. Thursday a judge ordered four of the children to be placed with their father. The other child - from a previous relationship - was placed with the child's grandmother.

Although it was not disclosed what Thompson had been doing for a whole day, the charges themselves might shed some light on that.

Thompson was booked into the Lee County Jail on five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, 2 counts of neglect, and Driving While Intoxicated. Bond appeared to have been revoked from a previous arrest, thus she continues to remain in custody.

Thompson has an active criminal file which includes arrests for DUI, repeatedly driving on suspended, resisting arrests, battery and trespassing. Many of these charges have been accumulated while being declared a habitual violator. She's really living the dream, eh?

Victoria Thorn Got Hung Out To Dry - Broke Into Jail To See Boyfriend - Left Behind As Boyfriend Escapes Out Window

Gainesville, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Victoria Thorp, a 19-year-old Gainesville woman was arrested Wednesday after she broke into a minimum security prison to see her boyfriend.

According to police, Thorp was arrested at about 3 a.m. Wednesday after she was found inside a dormitory at the Santa Fe Work Release Center in Gainesville.

Investigators say she broke into the facility to have a rendezvous with her boyfriend, Aquilla Wilson, who is currently serving a 30-month sentence on drug charges.

Wilson reportedly jumped out a window and escaped from the facility, leaving Thorp behind.

Thorp was jailed on charges of aiding in a prisoner's escape and introduction of contraband into prison. Bail was not set at the time of this report.

Wilson has not been apprehended and remains a fugitive of justice.

Indio, California (The Weekly Vice) -- The Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival aka 'Coachella Fest' is often home base for demonstrator antics. Last weekend's festival was no exception.

While dozens of bands play, festival goers sometimes use the event to "challenge the establishment". Others simply use the event to burn out the eye sockets of other patrons by getting their "freak" on.

This time around, a man believed to be inebriated on something or other shocked onlookers by disrobing out in the open and then becoming engaged in a scuffle with officers who eventually used a stun gun to bring him into submission.

Officers asked the man repeatedly to cover up - while festival patrons urged him to continue. When officers began effecting an arrest, the crowd booed and warned them that "the whole world was watching".

Undaunted, the officer tased the man several times until he finally allowed officers to handcuff him.

A patron at the event captured the video above, which making it's rounds across Internet websites and forums as an example of "harsh police arrest tactics."

We know public nudity is being challenged in the U.S. and in some cases it is becoming more tolerated. Those who argue that the body is beautiful and shouldn't be hidden may have a point, but what about those cases where bodies aren't so beautiful? What should the limits be?

If nudity is "free speech" as one festival goer shouted, then it applies equally to all.

Let's say you're enjoying a Fish Sandwich at a McDonalds one day when suddenly you notice someone's 80 year old grandma sitting clam nekked at a table across from you? How are you liking her free speech rights right about then?

Yeah, we know that's a disturbing example to contemplate - but contemplate you must if you really want to give such displays a pass. What's right for one is right for all - and your rights have the ability to become my headache.

Places where nudity is contained in an area away from kids - and where it's forewarned might be alright. But not any time, any place, just because an assclown at a festival has smoked enough pot to not care any longer. What do you think?

Man Who Beats Girlfriend Gets Pummeling From Woman’s Ex-Boyfriend - Both Jailed On Assault Charges

Huntley, Montana (The Weekly Vice) -- Earl Altes, 38, and Kenneth Jackson, 23, have been arrested after a girlfriend-beating man gets a whoopin' from the woman's ex-boyfriend.

According to Yellowstone County authorities, Altes was arrested Tuesday after his girlfriend told deputies that he had attacked her.

The woman told deputies the two had argued at a bar in Huntley. During the drive home, the couple continued to argue, prompting Altes to stop the car. When the woman exited the vehicle and began walking away, Altes reportedly attacked her from behind. She stated that Altes punched and kicked her in the face before choking her and forcing her back into the car.

He then reportedly took her to his house and then left. The woman fled barefoot to her ex-boyfriend's home about a half mile away. She sustained bruises and scratches across her body, a swollen eye, split lip and red marks on her neck, according to the arrest report.

Unfortunately for Altes, deputies were unable to arrest him before the woman's ex-boyfriend, Kenneth Jackson, paid him a little visit that night. Investigators say Jackson drove to Altes home and assaulted him in retaliation for the injuries he had inflicted on the woman.

Earl Jay Altes was jailed on charges of aggravated assault and domestic assault. Bond in his case was set at $10,000.

Kenneth Mitchell Jackson was jailed on assault charges, but was released after posting a $585 bond.

Bolivar Polanco - 29 Year Old Man Jailed After Impregnating 15 Year Old Girl

Port St. Lucie, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Bolivar Steven Polanco, a 29-year-old Florida man was arrested Wednesday on charges of having sex with and impregnating 15-year-old girl.

Polanco told police that he loves the 15-year-old victim, and has "every intention of being a father to the baby" he admits to fathering.

According to police, officers stopped Polanco's Ford Explorer late Tuesday night on a routine traffic stop when they discovered marijuana on the floor of his vehicle.

When investigators searched the vehicle further, they discovered a 15-year-old girl under a blanket in the back seat. They also discovered a notebook that reportedly indicated a relationship between the teen and Polanco along with a photo of the two kissing.

Polanco, who was listed as unemployed, admitted to having sex with the girl. Both stated that the experience was "awkward" because of the age difference between them.

Polanco acknowledged knowing the girl was pregnant and told police the child was his. The victim told police she was with the suspect because her mother had "kicked her out" following a dispute.

Polanco was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail on charges of lewd and lascivious battery, impregnating a minor and possession of marijuana. He was released after posting $23,000 bail.

Apple iPhone “Baby Shaker” - Yep, There’s An App For That!

Seattle, Washington (The Weekly Vice) -- When Apple Inc. says "There's an app for that", it's referring to the slew of new applications that have been released for it's product, the Apple iPhone. Want to silence a baby by shaking it to death? There's apparently an app for that too.

Amid a firestorm of criticism, Apple Inc. removed it's "Baby Shaker" program from the iPhone App Store Wednesday. An apology was then issued by the company on Thursday.

The game, developed by software company Sikalosoft, features a fussy baby that seems bent on annoying it's owner with ongoing cries. When the phone is sufficiently shaken, the crying stops and the baby's eyes are covered with two red X's.

The Apple iTunes website included the following description:

"See how long you can endure his or her adorable cries before you just have to find a way to quiet the baby down!"

Outrage ensued shortly after the software's release. The National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome and the Sarah Jane Brain Foundation both condemned Apple for approving the software for sale.

Apple spokesperson Natalie Kerris confirmed the game's approval for sale, but confirmed that it had been removed on Wednesday. No comment was given as to why it was approved or how many times it had been downloaded by users before it's removal.

The Weekly Vice Opinion:

I've always remained an ardent Apple fan, even during Apple's dark ages in the 90's. A 20 year old Apple Macintosh SE was my first Apple product - and it still works.

Seeing applications like this even considered, let alone approved, is nothing short of asinine. We hope Apple reconsiders the job of the department head who thought this might be "fun" or "entertaining."

Tommy Johnson Surprised His Wife - Jailed After Hiding In Wife’s Trunk, Popping Out To Attack Her On Highway

Hobe Sound, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Tommy Johnson, a 40-year-old Fort Pierce man was arrested Monday after he hid in his estranged wife's trunk before popping out to attack her as she drove down the highway.

According to police, Johnson hid inside the trunk of his soon-to-be ex-wife's car Monday afternoon, remaining there until his wife got into the car and started down Interstate 95. As the woman neared mile marker 96, Johnson pushed down the vehicle's backseat, crawled towards the driver's seat and attacked his estranged wife.

Investigators say Johnson grabbed the at the woman, forcing her to pull to the side of the road where he proceeded to bite her arm and restraine her from leaving. He then fled the scene into a nearby wooded area.

Florida State Troopers Located the man walking a short distance away and placed him under arrest.

Johnson was booked into the Martin County Jail on charges of domestic battery, false imprisonment and burglary. He is currently being held on a $15,000 bond.

Nothing screams "give me another chance" like hiding in a woman's trunk and attacking her on a highway. Well, at least she won't be picking up this thug's dirty socks any longer.

Sandra Curtis - Tennessee Teacher Charged With Having Ongoing Going Sexual Relationship With 16 Year Old Student

Paris, Tennessee (The Weekly Vice) -- Sandra Curtis, a 36-year-old English teacher at Henry County High School in Paris, Tennessee was arrested Tuesday on charges of having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old male student.

According to the Henry County Sheriff's Office, the boy began attending Curtis' class in January. By February, Curtis and her student had become engaged in a sexual relationship that lead to multiple encounters between the two.

Investigators say Curtis met the boy for sex three times after school. The encounters allegedly occurred in a vehicle, a house and another undisclosed location.

Authorities first learned about the situation when the teen told his parents about the relationship a few weeks after it began .

Curtis, who resides in Camden, has been charged with three counts of statutory rape by an authority figure and three counts of aggravated statutory rape. She was released on $15,000 bond, posted by her mother shortly after her arrest.

Jennifer Collier - Florida Teacher Jailed On Charges Of Having Ongoing Sexual Relationship With 14 Year Old Student

Jacksonville, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Jennifer Marie Collier, a 34-year-old science teacher at James Weldon Johnson Middle School in Jacksonville was arrested Monday on charges of having a sexual relationship with a student.

According to police, Collier had sex with a 14-year-old male student inside her SUV Friday after agreeing to take him home following a school field trip. The boy told police that he and Collier have engage in sexual encounters multiple times on and off campus, according to the arrest affidavit.

Investigators say the boy also showed them several emails between the two that reportedly indicate an inappropriate relationship.

Collier told police she had "a mother type" relationship with the victim, and that he came to her to talk about his problems at home.

Collier was booked into the Duval County Jail on charges of sexual battery on a minor, lewd and lascivious behavior and lewd battery on a minor. Bond in her case has been denied.
