Marguerite Engle Aims To Discover How Much Alcohol One Human Being Can Drink - Discovered Behind Wheel With .708 BAC

Sturgis, S.D. (The Weekly Vice) - Marguerite Engle, a 45-year-old Sturgis woman “blew” state records away after she reportedly registered a .708 on a breathalyzer test.

According to Mead County police, Engle was found by a highway patrol trooper on the side of the road passed out behind the wheel of a stolen delivery truck parked on the side of I-90.

Engle submitted to a breathalyzer test and registered a .708, almost nine times the state’s legal limit of .08.

To put this in perspective, a blood alcohol level of .40 is considered lethal to almost 50% of the population. The highest blood alcohol level ever recorded in the U.S. was last year when an Oregon woman was also found passed out in a vehicle registered an incredible .72 BAC.

Checks with local and state blood alcohol labs suggest that Engle may have broken the state’s previous record of .56

Engle was taken to jail on DWI charges where she was freed on bond and hospitalized. She failed to appear in court and was later found intoxicated and in a stolen car sitting in a ditch along highway 34….sound familiar?

Engle was booked into jail again and charged with second offense driving while intoxicated. She is being held without bond.

Charges are pending in Pennington County since both vehicles were stolen from Rapid City.

OK on the DWI charges, but what about the TWO stolen vehicles? This is what drives me nuts - the totally ignore one crime, in favor of the easy plea on the second. This thieving bitch needs to be behind bars, if nothing else, to protect South Dakotan vehicles. (I would say drivers, but she seems to spend much of her time passed out, rather than driving.)

Damn, she completely blew my .46 out of the water! (no pun intended) Guess tonight is the perfect night to try and claim that record... (not really ;) been sober for over a year now) Great post to end the decade! Happy New Year EVERYBODY! Be safe.

When you set a record, do you at least get a certificate from the lab or anything?

Thousands of college guys are jealous of a woman that holds the record... right here on New Years Eve. It will likely be a record to beat for them.

"Charges are pending in Pennington County since both vehicles were stolen from Rapid City." She'll be doing some time. Only defense is her BAC.

she has to be on some type of medication in order to do that...or she is some genetic freak

I can't believe there is actually someone out there with an alcohol level higher then hers and they are both women!!

Unlikely as breathalyzers are rated for accuracy up to about .5BAC. Over that I doubt that the readings are accurate. Over about .5 death is most likely

The breathalizer was not correct. She would had died if she had that high of a level of alcohol in her blood. Geez, people believe a lot of B.S.

Does alcohol in the blood could have an inhibiting effect on bacteria and viruses perhaps the same way as perhaps alcohol rubs?

South Dakota, Jan 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 45 year old South Dakota woman Marguerite Engle has stunned all, with her astounding .708 percent blood alcohol level in her body. It is a records of sorts and something that, Engle is not going to be proud of when she comes back in her senses.

a man by the name of Gary Tesch was being held at the Eddy County Detention Center on charges of sexual penetration of a minor. And it just so happened that Lloyd, who worked at Eddy, was a relative of the child molested by Tesch.
