Kerrville TX (The Weekly Vice) - Elsa Benson, a 53-year-old Texas woman was jailed last Friday after she allegedly made repeated calls to 911 because her husband wouldn't eat his supper.
According to Kerrville Police, officers were dispatched to Benson's home after she reportedly made two calls to 911.
Investigators say Benson hung up on the first call, but during the second call, operators heard her screaming in the background.
Officers who arrived on scene noted that she smelled strongly of alcohol as she yelled incomprehensibly at officers.
After officers pleaded with Benson to calm down and explain why she called 911, she explained she called because "her husband would not eat his supper," according to the arrest affidavit.
Benson has reportedly called 911 more than 30 times over the past six months. She has also been arrested three prior times for public intoxication and once for silent abusive calls.
She was booked into jail on a charge of silent abusive calls to 911. Her bond was set at $1,000.
