Christopher Cady Sex Offender Registration
Christopher Cady Jail Booking Report
Fort Pierce, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Christopher Fred Cady, a 39-year-old registered sex offender was arrested Christmas day after he allegedly shot a boy in the chest with a pellet gun to teach him a lesson.
According to the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office, the boy had just received a pellet gun as a Christmas gift and went outside to play with it when he reportedly shot his autistic cousin in the buttocks with it.
Investigators say that's when Cady grabbed the gun from the boy and shot him in the chest "to show him what it felt like - and that getting shot with a pellet gun hurts," according to the arrest affidavit.
The incident was reported when a large welt developed on the boy's chest.
Cady was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail on a charge of child abuse. An additional charge was added when deputies discovered he had failed to report a change of residence as mandated by law for sex offenders. He is currently being held without bail.

Never underestimate the stupidity of people.
Too bad a cop wasn’t around to show him how bad a 40S&W hurts when shot in the chest.
Ok so I know I am going to get jumped on for this..but this is not unlike discipline dished out when I was a kid.. and no my parents were not savages but by 2009 standards they would be in jail..they were old school parents who kicked our arses or would dare I say instead of actually shooting us with the pellet gun would have let our brother we shot shoot us with it instead. I mean the kid shot his autistic cousin in the ass..perhaps the "child" was a jerk and tortured his cousin. Maybe the only reason people are po'ed is because of the fact that the article mentions he is a registered sex offender and had not registered. I find that more offensive than the actual pellet shot.
Sorry folks I gotta agree with Jennifer. Dude might be a perv and all that but the kid will think twice before shooting his autistic cousin a second time now that he knows how it feels.
The sex offender thing is a whole nother issue.
Jennifer, I understand what you're saying... a belt on the fanny is alright. Making the kid scrub a toilet with a toothbrush is alright.
But pointing any kind of gun at a kid and then firing is sheer lunacy.
It seems no matter how much he tries. The horns and demon beard keeps trying and trying to grow back.
You hit the nail on the head there Bad Karma. About ten years ago there was a homeless man that lived around our fair town. He had lived in the area for several years. One day two 12 year old boys decided it would be funny to shoot him in the chest with a pump bb gun. The pellet entered his heart and killed him. Real funny huh? Just do a Google search and you will see bb guns can be quit dangerous. I am a gun advocate myself. I own several long guns, assault rifles and pistols. All guns are dangerous if improperly handled. The boy was wrong to shoot his cousin, but what that guy did was just plain malicious.
I'm pretty much discounting the sex offender part, because (wait, it WAS a pellet he put in the kid's chest, wasn't it?) I don't think that has a lot to do with the story, except maybe he wasn't supposed to be around kids or something.
I completely agree that some sort of discipline was in order. (Going around shooting autistic kids in the arse is no way to go through life, son...etc.) To shoot another child in the arse was just wrong. But I can't see how that was proven by turning around and doing the same thing to the child who did it. That's ludicrous! That would be kinda like catching a guy stealing, taking him aside and telling him how wrong it was, then taking his wallet as he walked away.
When one of my daughters was 16 and ridiculously hard to live with, she got angry at her dad for taking her guitar away for a week. I don't remember why he took it, but I do remember it was justified. So she took some eye shadow and liner and made it look like she had a big-ass bruise on her leg. Told her guidance counselor her dad threw a TV at her. A TV! So the counselor took a picture of the bruise and notified the vice principal.
The next day, the VP called her back into his office (on a hunch, he told us later) and said he needed to take another picture - a digital one - for a report he was obligated to make. She agrees and shows off her "bruise". By luck and the grace of God, her memory hadn't served her well enough, for she'd chosen to "bruise" the wrong leg before going to school that day.
We still had to have a meeting with some of the school staff, and she admitted she'd made it up to "get Dad in trouble." Actually, I was more shocked that the vice principal had figured it out than that she'd done such a horrible thing. We have three other children (she's one of twins) including a then 15-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son, all of whom would've surely been taken from us if she hadn't made that blunder.
She didn't see her guitar for a solid month after that fiasco.
So I do believe there are times when a parent's actions are justified; kids can be batshiat crazy when they're teenagers.
Taking away something they love is pretty effective. Pointing a gun and their chest and squeezing the trigger... not so much.
/just sayin'
I think his action was entirely reasonable. If I had done something like that, my dad would have done the same thing to me - to teach respect for firearms and the consequences of indiscriminately firing at people.
It's too bad our Nanny State doesn't consider the larger picture, and jails this guy for doing what any reasonable parent might do.
Having been hit by a bb when I was young. I wished the parents of the kid who shot me did the same thing. but in the butt. But knowing the kinder PC generation we live it. In a pellet in the chest is too extreme and boarders on stupidity. Being a convicted perv and not registering on top of that?????
he will get what he deserves. (one would hope)
....only thing wrong is poor targeting...a shot on the ass deserves a return in kind
Gotta agree with Jennifer here. The guy is a scumbag but he taught the kid a lesson he won't soon forget. A little welt is no big deal.

yup, should have been a shot in the rear...
I'm with Jennifer and the rest.
Not sure about mrbowtie; I'm a firearm owner myself, & I've never heard anyone but a hoplophobe use the misnomer "assault rifles."
How old is the kid who shot his cousin? Was it a mistake? Even if he was a punk@ss 12-year-old being a jerk, I still don't think that justifies him being shot in the chest.
OK HERE IS MY OPINION..... I am the mother and girlfriend of the two involved. First of all, the gun was not a pellet gun, it was an airsoft gun with plastic balls. My son did not shoot the child in the butt... He shot him in the pinky. I have had repeated problems with my son who may I mention has been in the seventh grade for three times now. He does not think of the consequences of his actions before he does things. He just a month ago was pushing my younger son down a hill on his bike, and caused my youngest to wind up with stiches. Granted maybe Chris shouldn't have went about it the way he did, but, we have tried everything to get through to my son. Nothing works. My own mother is the one who called the police because she does not think he is good enough for me. That is not her choice. And just to clear up the sex offender thing, Chris about 20 years caught a charge which is the same as urinating in public. There is not any laws that tell you the difference. When you see sex offender, you automatically think a child. Nobody considers the other alternatives. I am not a bad person, I would never stay with a man who put his hands on me or my children. I would never date a man who molested a child. This is all crazy and he is now sitting in jail while my children cry themselves to sleep every night missing their daddy. As for my mother, she beat me and let all of her boyfriends (and there were many) beat me my entire life. Oh how parents go into past denial... Well I just thought that I would try to defend him and tell you all a little of the truth. Thanks for reading this...
Hi Mother/Girlfriend.
I'm not sure why the sheriff's office did not relay details correctly.... but I can say an airgun, bb gun and pellet gun are all usually referred to as being the same thing... Perhaps this was a special brand that was unable to shoot regular bb's?
As for your mom, I can confirm that the Sheriff's office did mention your son was spending the night over at her home when the report was made... so what you're saying seems to be pretty consistent with everything we've learned.
I appreciate you dropping by to give both sides of the story.
That is another lie. My son did not spend the night with my mother. In fact, she was almost arrested herself for refusing to give him to me. My brother had to bring him home. As for the gun, it was a 5 dollar toy that held plastic balls. Not metal bb's. I just wish that they would get things right. But thank you...
You and me both...
As I'm not the only one reporting these details, you might have a word with the Sheriff's office to get the specifics of this case detailed correctly...
okay mom, well I for one am not buying what you're selling. I think you're doing everything you can to spin things you're way because your penis is away.
Let's start with the harmless "airsoft" rifle you claim does not shoot pellets.
Turns out they do shoot non metallic pellets. Have a look.

As for these kids crying themselves to sleep every night?
Give me a friggen break.
You're piling the drama on way too thick to be believed.
Had you come on and just added one or two minor details, your story would be believable...
But refuting the whole thing? Laying on the drama extra thick?
Nope... I'm not buying everything you're selling.
you don't have to believe the things that I say. You were not there. I am just tired of all of this. I have to live with people like you who judge. This is why I had to hire an attorney. I am not saying you cannot have your own opinion, because you have every right. I had child services at my house where my boy admitted that he lied about being hurt. He was angry about the situation. As for the fact that my "penis" is away. I am an independent woman who does not need a man to support her. When you have a loved one who is being wrongfully accused, wouldn't you do the same? I am not laying on drama. Everything that I said was the absolute truth. By the way. The toy gun was purchased at a toy store. It was not a bb gun. This is why I handed over the packaging to my lawyer. Because the sheriffs got it wrong, it lead to the paper and the news to get it wrong. But, like I said, you dont have to believe a thing I say. But I am not telling lies... Thanks
A similiar story happened to me. I shot my older brother with a bb gun and my mom got pissed. So instead of being grounded i said to her i will repay my brother's pain with my own. Then i shot myself point blank in the ass. I think i still have the scar not one of my brightest moments
LOL, hey Tennessee Bud, you are awesome! Wow I wish I were as cool as you! The reason I said assault rifle is because everyone, except you I guess know what that is. If I would have said I have an A3 AR-15 with a 1in9 twist 20” H-Bar and an SKS with bayonet and removable magazine conversion how many people would know what I was talking about? It was just easier to say assault rifle, you know because that is what they are classified as.
I think the facts need to be researched before a story is posted. Yes Chris Cady is a registered sex offender. As far as failing to report a change of residence, that is completely false. Mr. Cady did register with the town he moved to. The additional charge Mr. Cady received was for failing to report his change of residence to the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles. Mr. Cady did not have the the money needed to get the address change on his driver's license. As I stated before Mr. Cady did in fact register with Fort Pierce police department. Mr. Cady is being persecuted with the additional charge because he is poor. I know this because Chris Cady is one of my best friends.
the song people dying to young, song opens that a young boys plays with his dads gun and shoots his friend tommy.
So from here on out, figure out what your strengths and weaknesses are in your swing, and improve on those weaknesses & you'll be fine.
Hey Mens Health Magazine, did you use to promote coasters or something? You definitely sound like him! You really need to pick a better profession, buddy!! Or at least promote better products..
