Sheffield, AL (The Weekly Vice) - Amanda Watkins, a 38-year-old 8th grade English teacher at Sheffield Junior High School in Alabama was arrested Saturday on allegations she had sex with a 15-year-old student.
According to Sheffield police, an officer was responding to an alarm call at Covenant Christian School Saturday when he subsequently discovered Watkins inside a parked vehicle - engaged in a sexual act with a 15-year-old male student.
Investigators say the student, who is currently in the ninth grade, was a student in Watkins' class last year.
She was booked into the Colbert County Jail on charges of second-degree rape and second-degree sodomy. Bail in her case was set at $15,000.

WTF???? where were all the "having sex with student " teachers when I went to school? On second thought, where were all the good looking teachers when I went to school. Maybe I was lucky.

I don't get it.
What I don't get is why they were at a school parking lot doing it? Hotel, motel, Holiday Inn? Seriously, did they rationalize this by saying, 'well, it isn't OUR high school...'

Any degree with a minor is statutory, 2nd degree or even 3rd.
I don't know if a BJ is legally classified as "statutory rape" or not.
I think she would have to 'strap one on' to be charged w/ rape.
But degree of sex done with a minor is statuatory: Legally they can't consent.
MY point is: Why are BJs and cornholing illegal in Alabama?
To be charged with sodomy means that sodomy is illegal, even between 2 consenting adults.

Obviously, Alabama must be a Right-To-Work State. Otherwise the Teachers Union would still be paying our taxes to her while on "leave."
