Syracuse, New York (The Weekly Vice) - Rascell Williams, a 22-year-old New York man was arrested after he allegedly hung a cat and then video taped the animal struggling for it's life.
According to Syracuse police, Williams had stayed home with the 4-month-old cat Halloween night while his live-in girlfriend, Joanne Cichy was out. When she got home, she was unable to find her cat.
Investigators say the woman found a video the next day in her digital camera that showed her kitten hanging with a belt around it's neck. The video showed the cat struggling before it eventually went limp.
Williams was reportedly seen on the video and could be identified as the person making adjustments to the camera to bring the image into focus. The kitten was later found alive under an outside under the home's porch. Injuries sustained by the animal were reportedly consistent with the abuse seen in the video.
Williams was booked into jail on a misdemeanor charge of unjustifiable animal cruelty.

OMG I am sooo upset reading this. Every halloween cats get mis treated tortured & killed. WHY!? it's so fucking stupid! I hope this fucker gets what is coming to him! And I agree with the last poster as this is always how this shit starts. I'm sure he has so much to contribute to our society. *scarcasm* I am glad that it looks like the girl friend called the police on him instead of just letting him get away with this. I wonder what he would of done if it had been her baby she left alone with him???

When will people realize that torturing living beings, and video cameras going hand in hand aren't a good idea? And, the sad thing is he only gets charged a misdemeanor for it?
Wow camra in hand he tapes the kitten he is hangign while it goes limp. That is all it take to be a minor offence in the eyes of the law?? If it had been a person you could bet it would be different, I personally dont see the distinction so clear. It was done in a malicious and purposful manner. I say cover him in stakes and drag him through a lion's cage by a rope.

To all of you who think you know Rascell Williams - YOU DON'T!!!!!! The Bible says let those who are without sin cast the first stone. None of us are without sin therefore you shouldn't judge others. Yes, he made a mistake being under the influence of alcohol and that's no excuse. However, if you knew the hurt and pain in a person's life you could understand. Rascell really is a caring individual who in time will get the help he needs. God will heal him as He will help all of us who asks. God bless you all and remember Jesus die for all of our sins.
