Salina, KS (The Weekly Vice) - Michael Sampson, a 41-year-old Kansas man was jailed Wednesday after demonstrating what one should never do in court while trying to prove one's innocence. Threatening to slit a judge's throat.
According to Salina police, Sampson was in municipal court Wednesday, facing charges of driving on a suspended license and littering, when he decided to escalate his problems.
Investigators say officer Sean Wilcox was testifying for the court when Sampson pointed at the officer, then pointing towards his own head as if holding a gun.
When Sampson was asked if he wanted to testify on his own behalf, he reportedly pointed his finger at the judge, the prosecutor and another officer before making a slashing gesture across his throat.
The court quickly wrapped up the proceedings, finding Sampson guilty of driving on a suspended license while dismissing the littering charge. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 80 of those days suspended.
Sampson was then charged with four counts of making a criminal threat and one count of aggravated intimidation of a witness.

Why the hell would he do that to himself? It's not like he was going to jail over the original charges. He made things a whole lot worse for himself! He was lucky the judge was still pretty lenient.

Did he figure he would just put some fear into the officers that they'd like, just say, "He's too bad for me, I'm lettin' him walk!"

I went to school with this guy. Wanna hear something funny, one day in band class my friend beat the shit out of him with a trombone. Ill never forgot that. No see his parents are like millionaires and this guy runs some big company and thought he could buy his way out of jail, and when it didn't work. His true nature came out.
