Tampa, FL (The Weekly Vice) - Joshua Basso, a 29-year-old Tampa man was jailed after he allegedly placed a series of obscene calls to 911 operators - Asking dispatchers to talk to him while he masturbated.
According to Tampa police, Basso called 911 four times late Tuesday morning and sexually harassed a female operator. Basso asked the women about her breasts and requested that she have sex with him - while informing her that he was masturbating while on the phone.
When officers arrived at his home, Basso initially denied that he called 911 and refused to turn his phone over. An officer then dialed the number that called 911 from her personal cell phone and Basso’s phone rang in his pocket while he was standing next to her. He then reportedly admitted to making the obscene calls.
When asked why he chose 911 when there are other numbers he could have called, Basso stated that his cell phone was out of minutes and 911 was the only number that is free. He also stated that he didn’t think he could get in trouble for misusing 911.
Basso was booked into Hillsborough County jail on charges of making a false 911 call. His bail was set at $500.
Basso's long arrest record includes charges of grand theft auto, more grand theft auto, drug possession, trespassing, domestic violence, battery, burglary, more grand theft auto and battery domestic violence.

This is the luckiest man in Florida.
All of those charges and he's not in prison. Then call 911 for sex and the police came out and did NOT beat his meat.

LOL the operator was very entertaining. I can’t imagine what the typical Floridian 911 operator must hear in a year’s time. She handled this one like a champ though.
