Shanika Claritt Jail Booking Report
Tampa, FL (The Weekly Vice) - Shanika Claritt, a 19-year-old Florida woman was arrested Wednesday after deputies found a loaded gun under her baby and drugs all over the house.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, deputies obtained a search warrant and raided Claritt's apartment Wednesday afternoon - apparently not a moment too soon.
Investigators say deputies discovered Claritt's 5-month-old baby crying on top of a pillow. Under the pillow, deputies discovered a loaded Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun.
Investigators searched the residence and found a baggie containing crack-cocaine in the kitchen, marijuana in the living room and a large amount of crack-cocaine in a desk drawer, according to the Sheriff Office arrest report.
Claritt was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on charges of child neglect, possession of crack-cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church and possession of marijuana. Her bond was set at $31,000.
A second woman at the scene, identified as 57-year-old Delores Franklin, was also taken into custody on similar charges.

crack-cocaine within 1000 ft of a church? What? That matters? I thought it was only schools...hmm.
Yeah Sandy - that's weird. I would be much more concerned with crack cocaine within 10 feet of a baby! It's probably just for convenience sake. In some churches I bet authorities could get 100 arrests on a Sunday morning, just by walking in the place. Crackheads go to church too - especially when the church gives out free meals and stuff..

Maybe because there is a Sunday school or other school or daycare or something there? I don't know that is weird. I have never heard of that before!

Well i've heard the word tuesday before..and i've actually heard the name pugsly in the past... Here we go I'll make up a new name that wouldn't raise an eyebrow in the black community. Ummm. Taleesus? See?
The difference is Wednesday and Pugsly aren't real people.
Congratulations! You just lost your baby! Poor kid now has no mama. Sad. Hopefully that baby can forgive you someday. Enjoy your incarceration!
All names were made up at some point or another. Black people aren't the only human beings that "make up" names. I'd much rather be named Shanika or something else unique than Nancy or John.
Lmao really lets think about this. How about we not focus on the name issue,and focus more on the fact that this child was laying on a loaded gun!! As for the drugs being within a 1000 ft from a church.Well you all know that good church going folks frown on drugs,and how dare someone have crack and weed without sharing with the pastor. Sheesh people.Honestly most likely it's the separation of church state law that caused that to a biggie in this case. Oh well another piece of crap off the streets. Right?!!
