Detroit, Michigan (The Weekly Vice) - Sharon Hinojosa, a 29-year-old Michigan woman was arrested Saturday on murder charges after she set fire to her boyfriend's mobile home, leaving two children behind to die in the flames.
"We heard the screams inside," said a family neighbor. "There was nothing we could do."
According to Wayne County prosecutors, Hinojosa intentionally set fire to her boyfriend's Huron Township mobile home around 3 a.m. Friday. Witnesses say she walked away seemingly unconcerned as her 3-year-old daughter, Alayna, and 4-year-old son, Anthony, perished in the blaze.
Hinojosa escaped the fire with her 1-year-old son Aiden, while neighbors broke the home's windows, looking for a way to save the children left inside.
"If she (Hinojosa) would have told us the right window from the get-go, we would probably have those kids here today," said neighbor Jim Quillan.
"She (Hinojosa) was running up and down the street. She didn't care," said neighbor Joe Dickes. "She said she couldn't wake them up."
"This should send chills up the spine of every person. I can't imagine the abject horror of the last seconds of their young lives," said County Prosecutor, Kym Worthy.
Hinojosa was transported to a hospital after she reportedly ingested rubbing alcohol. She now faces charges of 2nd-degree murder, arson and felony murder. An arraignment hearing has not yet been set.
Anthony and Alayna Hinojosa will be buried together. Visitation has been set for Wednesday at the Voran Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m..

It gives me the creeps like this picture.
Stories like this one always makes me so sad. I can't help thinking that the last thought that probably passed through the child's mind was, "Where's my mommy?" I picture a kid in that situation and I can't breathe.
It's times like this when you HAVE to believe in heaven and hell, so the babies can go to heaven, and their so-called mothers can burn in hell.

I am in disbelief at this. I have two young children of my own and I can't imagine doing something like this to them. I just picture my children when I hear something like this and can only imagine the pain and heartache they felt before the fire consumed them. This breaks my heart so much. I'm sitting here at work in tears and with so much heartache for the loss of those beautiful, innocent childrens lives. May they rest in peace.
OK, I know I usually say, "Just shoot him/her." This time, let's set fire to this one.

True Raquel. There really is no way to give this story deep thought without coming to the conclusion that evil really does exist - and evidently it has it's hold on people you'd never expect in a million years.
It stories like this that sometimes make me wish for an eye for an eye type law.

This isn't necessarily conflicting - she could have done one then the other, especially if the other was done once plenty of people were aware of what happened.
I hope the other convicts hold a barbecue in her honor...
I really don't understand what waking your kids up has to do with getting them out of a burning house. This is one evil bitch that need to burn in hell.
I had to read this story a few times before it would sink into my head. She couldn't wake her kids???? A POS teenager set fire to my house in the middle of the night a few years ago because he had nothing better to do. I carried my 1 yr old on one hip and my 5 yr old on the other and got out. There is no way I would have left my house without them. Whatever her excuse is, it's not good enough for me!!!!
This is insanity! Hell, we had a very small earthquake a year or so ago and I raced in my daughter's room at 2:00 in the morning and rushed her outside. Unnecessary, but I was protecting my child. The same thing this bitch should have done. It sounds like she woke them up so they could die in agony instead of in their sleep. What an evil woman!
Sad To Tell You All But The Kids Weren't Asleep. They Were Buried In One Casket And I Love And Miss Those Children With All Of My Heart And Soul. You All Have No Idea What A Delight It Was To Know Them.
