Lisa Reardon BIO PageDetroit, Michigan (The Weekly Vice) - Lisa Ann Reardon, a 47 year old novelist was arrested Friday after she allegedly shot her father in the ass, hopped in a car and fled the scene.
According to police, Reardon shot her father, George Hicks, in the buttocks and leg as he retreated inside his Dexter Township home. She then reportedly fired a few more shots through the door before fleeing the scene in her car.
Investigators say Reardon called her sister from the car to say she was upset and that she "couldn't believe that she missed and wouldn't ever get a chance to do it again."
Authorities believe Reardon showed up at her father's residence around 7:30 p.m. with a 20-gauge shotgun and then opened fire after arguing with her parents. Washtenaw deputies found her a short time later and took her into custody. A motive has not yet been released as to why the attack occurred.
Reardon is the author of "The Mercy Killers", "Billy Dead", and "Blameless." She has also written several plays including Dove, a story of a man who is driven insane by a bird.
Reardon was booked into the Washtenaw County Jail on charges of assault with intent to murder, felony firearm and commission of a felony with a motor vehicle advisory. A preliminary hearing has been set for Sept. 1st.

You know Stephen King is reading this story and saying, "YEAH! Ku-ching!"
Well, I guess now we can move the old Lisa Reardon series of pscho books from the fiction section to the non-fiction section.
Those books .... particularly the Mercy Killers are fairly popular reads actually. I'm really surprised this story never made it to mainstream news.
I know it's been a busy news week, but not a mention? If there were a little more sex involved, I'm sure it would be different.
It sure has been a week of crazy redheads. St. Patricks day coming up or something?
Maybe there was something bad happened in the families background?
I mean why else would a woman choose to shoot her own father?
