Gregory Tyrrell Offender Information
Lincoln, Nebraska (The Weekly Vice) - Gregory Tyrrell, a 45-year-old registered sex offender in Nebraska was arrested Tuesday after he covered himself completely with towels and repeatedly entered the women's locker room at a Lincoln health club.
According to police, Tyrrell exhibited suspicious behavior at two Lincoln area health clubs by repeatedly entering their locker rooms after covering his head and body with towels. Only his eyes and hairy legs were showing.
Investigators say Tyrrell was caught on surveillance video Aug 20 entering the locker room area 40 times over a four hour period. He arrived in street clothing several times using a fake gym pass before undressing and then covering himself with towels.
Tyrrell was also seen entering the women's locker room at another health club at least three times. He was dressed head to knee in towels on those occasions as well. He reportedly attempted to enter the club a fourth time on Aug. 20, but was turned away at the door.
Authorities arrested Tyrrell in the locker room at Madonna Proactive Health and Fitness, according to police spokesperson, Katie Flood.
He was booked into jail on suspicion of 1st-degree criminal trespass and theft of services.
Tyrrell spent more than 16 years in jail for burglary and assault charges and is registered as a level three sex offender.
