Newnan, Ga. (The Weekly Vice) - Stephanie Der, a 38-year old Newnan woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly sodomized her 15-year-old babysitter.
Der faces two counts of felony statutory rape/cruelty to child after the alleged victim told investigators he and Der had engaged in a sexual relationship.
The relationship began when the boy began babysitting for Der's 4 and 13 year old children, according to James Yarbrough of the Coweta County Sheriff's Office.
The boy allegedly sent Der a text message asking for a sexual favor in exchange for child care services. Der reportedly admitted during questioning that she was flattered the boy had shown an interest in her.
The rape allegedly occurred more than once, though authorities are still investigating how long the reported abuse had been taking place, said Yarbrough.
Der, who is employed as a medical assistant, is being held in the Coweta County jail awaiting bond.
The Weekly Vice Opinion:Having been a babysitter in my teenage years, I can say this is definitely a sometime male fantasy. This is not one of those times.

I know it's customary not to show the face of the victim to protect them from the public. In this case we shouln't show the face of the perpetrator to protect the public.

I know her, she is about as smart as a 12 year old girl. Her kids are VERY ill behaved and she really has major issues. If I ever see her were our paths use to cross again she will be embarrassed when I out her b/c I'm not sure any of our common acquaintances know what she has done....nasty female.
