Raleigh-Durham, NC (The Weekly Vice) - Frank Lombard, 42, a Duke University official, was arrested Wednesday after allegedly offering his adopted 5-year-old son for sex on the Internet.
According to the FBI and Washington DC Police, Lombard came to the attention of authorities when an unidentified informant who was facing child porn charges turned on Lombard. The informant claimed he allegedly observed Lobmard molesting an African-American child on four different occasions using the Internet video chat service called ICUii.
Washington DC Detective Timothy Palchak set up chats with someone who matched Lobmard’s description, who was going by the screen name “FL”. The arrest affidavit states that Lombard’s profile stated that he was interested in “perv fam fun”.
Disturbingly, the chat service received a complaint from a customer in January 2007 who had chatted with Lombard where the customer complained that Lombard said he was “into incest” and had adopted two African-American children.
During those chats, Detective Palchak said that “FL” provided nude pictures of himself, claimed that he would drug his adopted son with Benadryl and then molest him, and also claimed he had allowed others to molest his son.
Detective Palchak says that “FL” bragged that “the abuse of the child was easier when the child was too young to talk or know what was happening” and that he specifically adopted an African-American child because they were easier to adopt. Detective Palchack was invited by “FL” to fly to Raleigh to have sex with his son.
Lombard was allegedly keeping the molestation secret from his male partner, who is not being charged in the case. Investigators say they do not believe his partner was involved.
Two children were taken from the home and placed in protective custody by the North Carolina Department of Social Services according to the FBI.
Lombard is being held without bond in the Durham county jail on charges of sexual molestation of a child and attempting to induce someone to cross state lines to engage in sex with a child. Duke University is cooperating with the investigation, and has placed Lombard on unpaid leave.

We here at TWV would like to know why it is that the service got a complaint 2 ½ years ago, and nothing happened. Someone dropped the ball big time here, and could have saved those poor kids a lot of torment and abuse.

If it wasn't for people like him Sodom and Gomorrah would only have been known for their pottery.
Yeah, this is a bad one. Danny had me on a deadline for several stories when I wrote this one up, and I had to take a day off because it churned my stomach so badly.
I hope and pray that all those Young African American inmates in that jail and the prison he ends up in gets a chance to welcome him to prison before he gets sent to protective custody.
This is disgusting. Those poor children. Heaven only knows what they are aware of and what happened that they may have Thankfully been to drugged to know about. My heart goes out to these children.
I wish i had a house and money to care for more kids i would adopt in a heartbeat. I hope hey get a really good therapist for these kids.
It's beyond sick and (broken record here) these people just need to die. They can't rehabilitate these people... I think I heard a statistic that said something like 85% reoffend, and those are just the ones who get caught again. Take them out they're not worth the oxygen they're breathing.
