Westbrook Police Press Release
Portland, Ma (TWV) - Daniel M. Swanciger, a 43-year-old convicted sex offender was apprehended after running away from the three-year-old he'd molested.
Swanciger is a twice-convicted sex offender and already sought by police on an outstanding warrant after he refused to register as a sex offender under the Maine's Sex Offender Registry Act upon his move to the area.
The latest allegations come from Westbrook Police, who accuse Swanciger of sexually molesting a three-year-old while spending time with the family, which considered him "a friend."
Investigators say Swanciger fled the scene when the toddler's mother called the police, but he was arrested on foot within minutes.
Both of Swanciger's out-of-state convictions were for the same crime: taking indecent liberties with a child. His latest charge is unlawful sexual contact and, for that, he will be held at Cumberland Farms Jail on $25,000 bail.

Let's see, he clearly has no intention of stopping his wicked ways-- even refusing to acknowledge they are wicked by declining to register in the area as as sex offender. If ever there was a candidate for the "snipping" program that's being discussed in some states, this is it...
But what may be most concerning of all. How is this person out on the street raping children after two prior convictions on similar charges.
It's hard to say Swanciger is a slow learner when a judge somewhere in Maine is having an equally hard time learning the lesson.

I say take them both the judge and this pervert and lock them away forever. Better yet leave this so called judge locked up and take this pervert out and kill the sorry bastard.
WTF? How is he out on the streets and not in jail? Someone who gets caught with a bag of weed can have legal troubles for life but this child molester is free to roam the streets and fuck up childrens life so he can fufill his sick fantasies.
It's time for the legal system to get their priorities in order.
Zach, I think Maine is known for having a very high tolerance for sex abuse - often assinging "tharapy" instead of jail time for sex offenders. But repeat offenders too?

It's past time for vigilante justice in specific cases since the court system doesn't seem to care enough to protect society. Put him in a cell with "Bubba Badass" then release him to walk free again after announcing when and where he'll be released. Do this in advance of his release so that "Bubba's" cousins can "interview" him too. Then notify retired Special Forces snipers with 50 cal. BMG's and tell them target practice is on!!!
$25,000 bail? Doesn't that seem awfully low?
The weak link in our justice system is that judges are immune to damage caused by rulings they make. Maybe next time he can be paroled to the judges house to live with his family.

Lavon - I'm ex-Army. I don't have a .50, but I do have a very nice .223 AR-15 that I'm pretty good with. (I killed enough Haji's in Iraq anyway) I'd be happy to "hunt" people like this if the government would let me.

This is exactly the kind of filth and scum that Yemeni justice should be applied. The scumbag doesn't care about the law and flaunts it. And,these freaks cannot be rehabilitated. Nada. No can do. They're wired for this behavior. Life behind bars or until inmate justice is served from behind the prison wall is the only solution for these rabid animals.
