Wagner Jail Booking Report
Largo, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Phillip Glenn Wagner, a 54-year-old Largo man was arrested early Saturday morning after crashing his car into a church school building. Told police he was trying to kill himself so he could "be closer to Jesus."
According to Largo police, Wagner intentionally drove his car into the Faith United Methodist Church, causing more than $20,000 in damage..
Wagner reportedly told police he decided to ram the church after church staff members refused to help him in a time of need. He said he wanted to be "closer to Jesus" according to the arrest report.
Church administrator, Brian Smawley, stated he had never had contact with Wagner in the past.
Largo police say the crash occurred at about 3:30 a.m.. Sunday services went proceeded as scheduled because the crash didn't involve the worship building.
Wagner was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a charge of criminal mischief to a place of worship. His bond was set at $5,000.
The Weekly Vice Opinion:
Noticed on his jail booking report a that he has a tattoo which reads "Cherry Lover". While I suppose there's a slight chance he really does love fruit, we're pretty sure that's not the intended meaning.
In child molestation circles, Cherry Lover is regularly used to define the act of taking a child's virginity. Although we don't know if that was the intent..... I find myself wondering why they couldn't have built that church wall just a little stronger.

In the meantime Jesus has issued this statement through his attornys:
I do not know this person neither am I associated with him. I am demanding that he pay for damages to my house.
I gotta agree with Danny on this one... give the man his wish... let him see God and know his wrath.
The tattoo he has "cherry lover" has nothing to do with child molestation. This is my uncle and he is not a man that would harm anybody. Not sure what the deal with this crash is but i hope justice is served and he gets some psychological help.
