Rhinelander, Wisconsin (The Weekly Vice) -- Matthew A. Lonkoski, 22, and Amanda R. Bodoh, 21, have been arrested after authorities found a 10-month-old baby girl dead of an overdose of morphine.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, Bodoh found her daughter, Peyton Lonkoski, dead at the couples home on May 4th. Autopsy reports on Friday revealed that the child died from an overdose of morphine.
Investigators say Lonkoski admitted leaving a morphine tablet on a table while the couple visited Bodoh's mother's house in Iron River. Despite seeing the child attempting to reach for the pill, he reportedly ignored the baby and continued to smoke marijuana throughout the day.
After the child began making noises of disagreement, Lonkoski said he realized the baby had eaten the morphine tablet. He also noted the tablet was missing from the table.
Lonkoski told detectives that he had smoked marijuana and snorted morphine that week. He added that although Bodoh was upset with him, she still left the child in his care.
Lonkoski told detectives that he tried to fish the morphine pill out of the child's mouth. After realizing the child had swallowed the pill, he attempted to wash it down with a bottle of milk.
The next morning, the child's eyes were glazed over, however he stated he was afraid to tell anyone about the morphine because he thought Bodoh would get upset. He explained that he couldn't take the girl to the hospital because he didn't have legal custody of her. Bodoh explained that she didn't take the child to the hospital because she though the child simply had a cold.
The morning after the couple had returned home from Iron River, Bodoh reportedly discovered the child dead.
Lonkoski was charged with first-degree reckless homicide, a charge that carries up to 60 years in jail. Bail in his case was set at $30,000.
Bodoh was charged with felony child neglect, a charge that carries up to 25 years in jail. Bail in her case was set at $20,000.

What a screwed up, disgusting and incredibly sad case this is to have to report. Both of these miserable failures and the homies who hung out with them all bear responsibility one way or another.
A friend of the family - Melissa Paznonski - reportedly told investigators that Lonkoski used to store his drugs inside the child's playpen and that the two of them smoked marijuana in front of the child. Hello? Drugs in a playpen?
Where is Bodoh's mother while this guy is roaming around her house smoking dope all day? How about a little parental guidance. How about a high heel kick to to his ass? Would this have been too much to ask for?
It just astounds the living hell out of me that so many people could float in and out of this child's life - yet everyone stumbles along as if they are stoned out of their mind.
Is it really any wonder many police officers regard the jackoffs they run into every day as complete imbeciles? I'm going to stop writing this article - there's seems to be no stopping the stupidity that lives among us.

Look at the guys eyes and expression. He is still so high that what he has done doesn't register yet. The mom on the other hand may have sobered up enough to at least realize she is missing something.
His excuse for not taking the kid to the hospital because he didn't have "legal custody of her" has got to be the dumbest excuse I have ever heard in my life. I swear, just when I think I've heard it all... poor baby.

Amanda is actually my family. The majority of the sentiments in these comments ARE merited. I was saddened to hear of the infant death, but also wondered how exactly this happened, and yes it sounded suspicious to me. I know the ins and outs of this family, and it truly is an unfortunate situation all around. I love Amanda with all my heart, but can not defend anyone but the baby in this case. This particular situation comes as no surprise knowing the hell that those kids were raised in. This is, remember, not an excuse, but definitely facilitated an occurrence such as this. I consider myself articulate, intelligent, and level headed. Remember as we comment that these are humans just like you. We are ultimately all the same no matter what the offense. I wish there could be a rewind button, but there isn't. I will hate the two of them when I am flawless. -peace
The guy was worried about going to jail PERIOD! It didn't have a damn thing to do with "not having custody". If they had gotten her to ANY E.R. that little baby wouldn't be dead right now! I'm pi$$ed off that things like this keep happening because parents are getting dumber, lazier, and less caring about about their kids. This is a great, Case in point. I think maybe we should start doing what China does... Start regulating who has children. In the USA, we need a license to catch a damn fish, drive a car, & hunt.. but any moron can have a child! This guy should go to Prison for the rest of his natural life. I guess I'm not sure about mom. If she knew the baby had take that pill & did nothing, heck yeah.. off to prison with her too. However.. I don't think she knew till after the baby died. Now having someone like this drug addict around the child (in my book) constitutes neglect, in of itself.. But i don't think the law sees it my way (to bad).. Maybe we should get some laws changed too..

Selfishness at it's greatest. He was more worried about himself than what could/would and DID happen to the poor child. I always cringe when hearing about stories that inolve small children and pets/animals. They both depend on us greatly and when they are mistreated, abused or neglected my heart just tears apart. How can you deny a 10 month old of URGENT medical attention? It's more than stupidity it's complete disregard and selfishness. Rest now sweet baby girl.

To the "Family Member", I don't give a shit who you are or what you know. If I did this, I would want, no PRAY (and I am an atheist) that someone just beat me to death! Next to the PCP guy eating his kids eyes out this is the second most fucked up thing you can do. I am a medic, and I know we could have rolled into the situation and had that kid at the hospital and cleaning him out before this went south so please, don't belittle everyone else with this "we are all human" bullshit. I will judge, and when this d'bag goes to jail I hope they have good medics on staff so that when the "baddies" beat his ass for killing a kid (and they will) that those medics work as hard as they can to keep him alive to endure another day...... May the parents live long and sad lives.
Then on top of everything else, these two stupid f**** have other complete stupid f**** commenting on their pages about feeling bad for them when the KILLED the f******* child. They should all be taken outside and shot like the pieces of s*** they are. If one of my friends did this, I'd f*** him up not console him.

SO UNTIL YOU GET THE FACTS DONT BE QUICK TO JUDGE.
