Alison Peck Probable Cause Statement PDFGreenfield, Missouri (The Weekly Vice) -- Alison Peck, a 23-year-old music teacher at Greenfield High School in Greenfield, MO. has been arrested and then arrested again on charges of repeatedly having sex with an underage student.
According to Greenfield authorities, Peck faces statutory rape and sodomy charges in Dade and Lawrence counties involving an alleged sexual relationship with a student under the age of 17.
According to court records, Peck began exchanging text messages with the student in December, 2008 eventually leading to a sexual relationship. Peck reportedly told investigators that she repeatedly had sex with the student beginning in January at her home in Mt. Vernon and at Fiddler's Ford in Dade County.
Now, Peck has been arrested for a second time on allegations of witness tampering and engaging in sex with a minor under the age of 14.
Prosecutors say two of Peck's friends contacted the same boy on May 15th to set up a meeting. Peck, the two friends and the boy reportedly met at the American Inn in Springfield, Missouri. After Peck's friends left, Peck and the boy reportedly spent the night together at the motel.
Peck was re-booked into the Greene County Jail on additional charges of witness tampering and statutory rape. Bond was set at $200,000.
At Peck's first appearance on the new charge, a Greene County judge ordered peck to have no contact with the boy, his family or the two friends who drove the boy to the meeting.

Not Danny, but I think the issue is that sodomy means several different things - in this case it would likely be referring to Peck performing oral sex, which does make her a hero in the eyes of many. It seems strange that oral and anal sex - as well as bestiality and homosexual sex acts - can all at times be referred to as sodomy.

For those of you confused with the term sodomy...... Legal definitions vary by the state, however the term sodomy does NOT refer solely to anal penetration. It may also legally mean oral copulation.
Many states simply call it oral copulation.
In this case, the teacher is presumably being accused of having intercourse with and performing oral sex on the victim.
Remember, this meaning applies only in certain states.... so when you see the word again in another story, it can very well be referring to a completely different sexual act.

@justmyopinion, I actually wouldn't mind a few extra Danny Vice's around tracking down follow ups to some of these stories.
As for the 'friends' of the teacher. I don't think driving the kid to the hotel and eating pizza by itself would constitute a crime. They actually left right after eating pizza, so they weren't around during the actual crime.
If they coerced the kid into having sex with the teacher, then police would have likely arrested them.
Just too many gray areas to make the charges stick I would say. They have enough on the teacher to put her away anyhow.
I'm with justmyopinion in this case. According to the statement by the trooper, both of the two female friends of Peck "stated that Peck asked them to help set up the meeting to AVOID law enforcement attention." and that one of them "advised that she rented room #131 ..to keep Peck's name off the motel registry...because law enforcement was watching her and SHE KNEW she was not to have contact with the juvenile." Furthermore, they both admitted they knew that the previous criminal charges "stemmed from Peck's sexual relationship with the juvenile."
They left a 14 year old in a MOTEL room (not a pizza parlor) with their adult friend who has gone to great effort to avoid law enforcement and attention because she's already done inappropriate sexual things with a minor and they don't even get charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor? I think the DA should at least charge them and let a jury decide...

The boy was not 14. The PC statement was wrong. He is now 17 years old and was 16 when it happened. I work very close to this case.
I know Alison and would never expect this. If she was my teacher I would have done the same thing! What's the big deal? He was 16! Who ever had a hand in destroying alison's life can rot in hell
