Greenville, South Carolina (The Weekly Vice) -- Imagine the embarrassment. Your mom will be picking you up at your middle school. The bell rings and you head out to the pick-up circle, hoping kids won't tease you about your hair, your car, your mother, or any of the million other things kids tease each other about.
But alas, there is no quick getaway. Instead you walk out to find your mother in the midst of failing a field sobriety test - with a traffic jam of angry parents behind her.
"I wonder who's mom that is," you hear the kids whisper.... and suddenly the finger is pointed at you. It's hell to be a kid sometimes.
Marcia Peyrouse Gaines, a 49-year-old Greenville mother was arrested Wednesday on drunk driving charges while picking up her child at middle school.
According to police, officers responded to Greenville Middle Acadamy Wednesday afternoon on a report of a minor traffic accident in the school pick-up line.
When an officer asked Gaines for her driver's license, she fumbled for it while appearing unsteady on her feet. When she thought she had finally found it, she presented the officer with her credit card instead of her license, according to the arrest report.
Noting the odor of alcohol, the officer conducted a field sobriety test, which Gaines reportedly failed. Gaines later submitted to a blood-alcohol test which resulted in a blood alcohol level of 0.23 - almost three times the legal limit.
Gaines was charged with DUI first offense, punishable by a $400 fine or up to 30 days in jail.

Wow, that's sad.... but looking at it from the poor kid's point of view would be horrifying.
On the bright side the kids mom likes to party! Maybe this will help his social life.
by the pic, you can see she is more lit than a roman candle.
....but this is more proof that any one could end up on this site. she may have had a few afternoon eye openers too many and realized that she was running late to pick the kid up.
