Kansas City, Missouri (The Weekly Vice) -- James S. Harris, an 18-year-old Kansas City man was arrested after allegedly stealing and X-Box and then stabbing two people who insisted he give it back.
According to police, Harris was allegedly attending a house party Sunday afternoon when an X-Box video game console turned up missing.
A dispute ensued between Harris and an unnamed female who suspected that he had stolen the game deck. About that time, a male attempted to intervene in the dispute when he saw that Harris pulled a knife on the woman.
Harris allegedly responded by stabbing the woman, puncturing her liver, and then stabbing the male victim in the hand. Witnesses at the scene jumped in - Delivering a pummeling to Harris' face in "an attempt to subdue him," according to police.
When authorities arrived, they found Harris laying face down on a sidewalk in front of the house. The woman was found bleeding in the backseat of a car. The woman was transported to a hospital where she underwent surgery for a puncture wound to her liver.
The game console was later found in the trunk of Harris' car.
Harris was booked into the Platte County Jail on charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action and theft. He is being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
The Weekly Vice Opinion:
At last, someone has figured out how to detain a thief properly until police arrives. I do however think the charge should be attempted murder. Anyone who stabs another person in the abdomen like that (an excruciating experience), shouldn't get away with mere assault charges.

Sounds to me like this short little ....... had a well deserved beat down. People will absolutely fight for their game decks.
Hope he gets a nice long sentence to reflect on the beat down he got on the day of his arrest

you know what is funny to me is how the only thing that gets posted on here is the shit that "supposedly" happened.I was just in platter county with the guy, and personally know the girl he stabbed.If you knew the people telling the story instead of basing your facts off what the "justice system" makes u believe happened then maybe you people could have a good argument.Please tell me how it isn't self defense to pull a knife out when you are being jumped by 4-5 people? get a life.You people don't know reality.
