Boulder, Colorado (The Weekly Vice) -- Chalie Simon, a 19-year-old University of Colorado student was arrested Saturday on suspicion of assault after she allegedly assaulted her ex-boyfriend's genitals after suspecting he had another woman in his bedroom.
According to CU police, officers were called to the victim's apartment complex after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance.
Investigators say Simon went to her ex-boyfriend's apartment in the early morning hours of Saturday and began throwing rocks at his window.
When the man opened the door to talk to her, she came into the apartment and allegedly began to create a disturbance. At one point in the confrontation, Simon attempted to make her way to the victim's bedroom, but he blocked her access to the room and then pushed her out of his apartment.
The victim, Joe Donkon, told police that during the physical altercation, Simon "grabbed his testicles and squeezed hard," according to the arrest report.
The struggle continued until the woman apparently gave up and wandered to another area outside the building.
Officers arrived at around 4 a.m., conducted interviews and then took Simon into custody. She was booked into the Boulder County Jail on suspicion of third-degree assault, domestic violence and first-degree criminal trespass.
Donkon told police he had dated Simon on and off over the past year, but that the two had broken up about 20 times. The dispute apparently began when Donkon agreed to contact Simon, but apparently invited a woman over to his apartment instead, according to the report.
The officer did in fact make contact with a woman inside the apartment who was apparently staying with Donkon.

Humm... I'm not so sure this guy didn't have it coming on some level. If he wants to jump in the sack with another girl, he shouldn't be agreeing to call her at a certain time. Sounds to me like he was leading her on.
What never ceases to amaze me is.... there are probably a sea of college guys up at that school who'd date her, yet she's hooked on the one guy that isn't that into her.

Danny Vice, I agree with most of your opinions. But, I don't think the guy "had it coming". Violence is never the answer. They are both young, dumb and stupid. And she could have interfered with his ability to have kids in the future when he is older and wiser. If the situation was reversed, and a good-looking guy had kicked a girl down there, I suspect you would have a different opinion.

He invited her into his apartment and then pushed her back out when she wanted to see who was in his room. I think the aggression went both ways to some degree.
I suspect there was more of a relationship here than he was admitting to and she wanted find out if she was being cheated on.
It seems to me to be more of a wrestling match between the two, not an assault. Just my opinion.
Either way, I do think the charges are steep for what seems to me to be a lover's quarrel..

I think if I caught a guy cheating and he was shoving me out the door I'd be tempted to do the same thing. I won't be pushed anywhere by any man. Also, how can she be charged with trespass when he invited her into the apartment? How can it be domestic violence if they aren't related, dating or living together?
Danny, you're right. These charges are bogus. I feel no sympathy for a girl who can't recognize when a guy is playing her, but I do have sympathy when someone is being used and then arrested on charges that don't apply.

The perpetrator, Chalie Simon, forced her way into her victim's apartment. She refused to leave her victim's apartment when she was told to do so. The fact you're trying to claim that she was "invited" into her victim's apartment is offensive and sick.

Based on this, it's NEVER acceptable to attack a man's testes unless it's out of self-defence. If a person resorts to using testicular abuse when other means of self-defence are available, then the act of testicular abuse ought to considered a form of sexual assault.

Chris, you are the one who's factually incorrect. In the report, Donker himself told the officer that he invited the girl into his apartment, stating that "it was cold outside". He then later stated that he was worried about her yelling and waking people up.
Now please go read the report before you presume to be a know-it-all.
I don't think it would matter where she was or why she was there. If I caught my gf cheating in my own apartment people would just laugh in my face and say I was cuckolded. If I wanted to take that extra step to make the moment memorable and sunk my fingers into her crotch and squeezed till she cried I don't think anyone would say she had it coming.

You're partially right. Donkor asked Simon to enter his apartment after she threw rocks at his window -- not because she was yelling. Simon became aggressive and shouted whens she was allowed into Donkor's apartment.
Donkor asked Simon to leave after she started yelling. She ignored his request and ran to his bedroom. Donkor never gave her permission to yell once she entered his premises. Nor did he say she could make her way to his bedroom. She crossed the line when she a) started yelling at him in HIS apartment b) refused to vacate HIS apartment when she was asked to leave c) tried to invade HIS bedroom. Donkor had every right in the world to a) prevent her from enterting HIS bedroom and b) escort her from HIS apartment after she refused to leave. She had NO legal right to "fight back" as Jupiter Gurl put it as she was a) the aggressor and b) trespassing. The fact she was smaller than her victim does not mean she had an automatic right to attack his testes when he defended HIS property. If she didn't want to be manhandled then she shouldn't have trespassed on HIS property after she was asked to leave. She's not the victim in this story -- she's the aggressor and should be held accountable for her behaviour.

I think the report is fairly objective.
Donkor's dishonesty with Simon was wrong, but it did not grant her the right to trespass on his property and attack his testes. If a man was in her situation and behaved as she did then the majority of people would call for his head.
I think the response from you and the other guys on here is perplexing. Women routinely jerk men around, manipulate them, hold off on having sex with them and string decent guys around while they copulate with bad boys. Men are told to just "get over it" when they're used by women. If a man dared to perform a minor act such as lightly slapping a woman who used him then people would call for his head. I'd argue that men, especially average men, are used by women far more often than women are used by men.
Would you show any sympathy to a man who painfully grasped a woman's clitoris after she strung him around? If he grasped her clitoris after he refused to leave her premises then most people would call him a violent creep.

Donkor may not have seeked medical attention, but that doesn't mean he hasn't sustained any long-lasting damage to his testes. The attack might have damaged some of his leydig cells -- moderate to severe testicular trauma of any sort usually does. This might affect his body's ability to produce testosterone when he's older.
The fact that Donkor did not seek medical attention does not mean his experience wasn't traumatic. A lot of non-injurious experiences can cause the victims of them to experience a great deal of fear. A review of the National Women's Study on rape is proof of it. According to the National Women's Study on rape, only 4% of the respondents required medical attention, yet 49% feared severe injury while they were attacked.

The comment about your accusation being "offensive" and sick" was based on my mistaken belief that she barged her way into his apartment. I sincerely apologise for mistakingly accusing you of something you didn't do.
No problem Chris, 99% of the time I take an extremely staunch position on the side of the victim in these cases.
Now and then a story strikes me a certain way and I have empathy for the suspect in the situation.

It's always great that when a story like this emerges we can bask in the glow that is the double standard of women.
Witness the women here who felt he had it coming because he was into some other girl. Or the woman who says "I won't be pushed by any man". This gives me the idea that the next time some woman is not acting in the way I want I can smack that bitch.
He had every right to push her out the door, she was trespassing the minute he decided he didn't want her in there anymore and she wouldn't leave. How is he playing her is they broke up 20 times? I had a gf like this. When I broke up with her she came to my apartment uninvited, came to my work and caused a scene, tried to kill herself, wouldn't stop calling, etc. She was a violent bitch when we dated, punching kicking, etc., and I only laid a hand on her one time to prevent her from hitting me with a fistful of keys.
