Ninety Six, South Carolina (The Weekly Vice) -- Angel Simmons Lindle, a 37-year-old science teacher at Edgewood Middle School in Ninety Six, South Carolina has been arrested on charges of repeatedly having sex with a 14-year-old student.
According to the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office, Lindle was arrested Friday and charged with seven counts of criminal sexual conduct with a child.
An investigation was launched early Friday after the alleged victim filed a complaint with the Ninety Six Police Department on Thursday. Authorities obtained a warrant, gathered items at the suspects home, conducted interviews and then arrested Lindle at her home at 1:00 Friday afternoon, according to Sheriff tony Davis.
"The victim, who was 14 at the time but is 15 now, told us of numerous incidents between he and the suspect," said Davis.
The Sheriff's Office considers the investigation ongoing, and cautioned against ruling out additional charges.
"During the interview (with Lindle), I think some more information came out for us to follow up on," Davis added.

The investigation started Friday morning and yet they had her arrested by a little after noon the same day? That's a mighty fast investigation, I have to say. Perhaps a little too fast unless she confessed.

i'm starting to wonder if all these sick teachers went to the same college and got taught that it was "ok" to have sex with there students...seriously though i didnt realise how often this happened and i feel bad for the kids cause all the teachers i've seen arent that great looking.

either she confessed or there were creditable witnesses or had super damning evidence just laying around openly for others to see
or maybe the cops are incompetent/ better than the ones on Law and Order: SUV

According to Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) reports, Lt. Enlow met with an officer from the Ninety Six Police Department on Thursday, where the alleged victim originally reported the relationship between him and Lindle. The boy said the relationship began nearly two years ago, when he was 14-years-old.
During their interviews with the alleged victim, investigators say the boy gave them three bottles of pills Lindle had allegedly given to him. He said Lindle told him they would build muscle.
The victim alleges that about two years ago Lindle, who was his teacher at the time, hugged and kissed him and told the boy she wanted to have sex with him. The boy reported 40 – 50 sexual encounters with Lindle, saying 25 of them occurred at Star Fort in Ninety-Six. The victim said Lindle took him to McCormick County and Abbeville County to have sex with him. He said she also took him to Augusta, Georgia.
Major John Murray of the GCSO told WYFF News 4 that the evidence against Lindle is more than just empty allegations.
"We removed several items from her clothes, which confirm that there was some activity going on," he said.
According to arrest warrant affidavits, Lindle admitted to seven sexual encounters with the boy, all occurring in Greenwood and McCormick Counties. She reportedly admitted to three sexual encounters where the two parked on Warner Road in Ninety Six, two incidences at the Economy Inn in Greenwood, one incident while parked in the K-Mart parking lot in Greenwood and one incident at Lindle’s home in Donalds. The seven encounters Lindle reportedly admitted to occur between August 2008 and February 2009.
According to reports, the boy told investigators that he had been trying to end the relationship with Lindle, but she kept calling and text messaging him. He said Lindle told him she would kill herself if they could no longer see each other. The boy said Lindle wrecked her car on Thursday while she was text messaging him and had to be treated at a local hospital. He said he was scared that when she was released from the hospital she would try to find him and hurt him.
Lindle continued on to post messages to her Facebook page as her arrest came closer on Friday. Her last message, posted just before 1:00pm, said “Goodbye to everyone.” Lindle was arrested just after 1:oopm on Friday.
According to her Facebook account, Lindle had been a teacher at Edgewood Middle School since 1996. District 52 Superintendent Dr. Dan Powell said Lindle has been on medical leave since September. Powell said the district is cooperating with law enforcement and that Lindle will be suspended pending the outcome of the charges against her.
A bond hearing was held for Lindle on Saturday. She is currently being held at the Greenwood County Detention Center on a $126,000 cash or surety bond.
Good find. It also sounds like there may be additional charges coming out of this.
The Sheriff's Office was hinting that other students might also be involved.
It sure goes to show you that these cases are not simple cases of a boy being lucky enough to "nail" a teacher.
These teachers sometimes get quite psychotic in the manner they pursue these boys after the initial sex.... and there inlies the problem.
A lot of times the female teachers aren't in it just for the sex, they are addicted to the attention and go to extravagant means to hang onto it.
I actually went to the school that she taught at. At the time I was there she wasnt yet married and I knew her as Ms Simmons. At that time she taught 8th grade science and I did not personally have her as my teacher but I did know her, she was a very nice and pleasant person, she did have some medical problems with severe headaches from a wreck that she was in when she was younger. I did not ever personally witness anything that was unprofessional about her but I will say that there were several people that made comments that she was a little flirty with the boys in her classes. Ninety Six is a very small town and now of course alot of people are really shocked that this has taken place in our small town. And now there are alot of gossip about what happened and who it was with and I have heard now that there were other guys over the years and not just this one boy. But that is just gossip at the moment. I do not know the truth and I know alot of people who at are completly baffled by this and can not believe she could ever do such a thing and then I also know alot of people who do not seemed suprised in the least by the things that she has been accused of doing. I just thought I would give a little personal knowledge of her on here even though from what has came out it seems like whether or not it is shocking that she could do this it seems like she is indeed looking very guilty.
Thanks Ninety Six, that's good insight... and if true, I'd say she's been working towards finding a way to get something started with one of her students for awhile and was finally sucessful.
Then once she got what she wanted, she was desperate not to lose it - especially since it was such a risk to her to begin with.

Yeah Ninety Six is a small town in Greenwood county. Ninety Six got its name around 1730 because it was believed to be 96 miles from here to Keowee, which was a Lower Cherokee town, which would place it around Clemson, SC today. Ninety Six today is a very small town but back then it was a large trading post. Ninety Six is also the home to Star Fort which is an important Revolutionary War Battle site.
She posted a 75,000 bond yesterday.
My sister lives in the same town as this woman, the whole community was shocked she said. Friends and Family said she was wrongfully accused, but I guess there's proof or she wouldn't have been arrested.

There is still alot to this story.
The young fellow she had sex with for two years to tried to break it off with her. She somewhat became obsessed and told him if he left or broke the whole sexual arrangements she would kill herself.

Cleary she had some psychological issues.
What she did was wrong in all kind of ways. The relationship started when the boy was 14, 2 years later he tries to end it, and she said she would kill herself. she wrecked her car trying to text him, when she was released the boy was afraid she would come find him and hurt him.
First of all, I feel for the boy! I cannot imagine what he is going through right now.
She laid one hell of a guilt trip on him, but in the end she put the ultimate guilt trip on him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the young boy at this time.
This woman should have never ever caused so much ordeal in his life, this will be something he will remember forever.
Damn, so she um "blew her top" all over some underage teenage lover....Brutal.
