Sarasota, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Hamza Qabeqba, a 24-year-old Sarasota man was arrested after a game of bumper cars with police that began when he told an officer "I will run you over." Chase ends with man's face almost as messed up as his last name.
According to Sarasota police, Qabeqba allegedly began to taunt a police officer at a convenience store early Monday by driving backwards in front the store, narrowly avoiding the officer's patrol car.
When the officer ordered the suspect to stop his gray Plymouth minivan, the man allegedly responded by telling the officer "I will run you over." He then revved his engine and peeled out in reverse towards the officer, who evaded the minivan and called for backup.
Several patrol units gave chase as the man drove down U.S. 301, swerving around blockades until finally ramming two patrol cars. One patrol car was hit so hard that if flipped upside down.
The pursuit came to an end when an officer was able to perform a pit maneuver, causing Qabeqba's minivan to spin out.
Inside the van, police found a broken faced Qabeqba, who was allegedly high on crack. Investigators also recovered crack cocaine and marijuana from his car.
He was booked into the Sarasota County Jail on the following book of felony charges:
aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer, fleeing or eluding (another) law enforcement officer, possession of crack cocaine, possession of cannabis, possession of paraphernalia and violation of city noise ordinance.

You know police officers really, REALLY want to nail your skinny butt to the wall when they tack on a noise violation charge. Crackhead, cracked record and cracked face. At least he's consistent.

My wife always gets on my case when I look both ways after a light turns green at the intersection. "It's green, GO, she says".... But crackheads like this is EXACTLY why I don't go until I know someone won't come speeding through the intersection.
