Codey Hawks MySpace Profile
Parma, Ohio (The Weekly Vice) -- Codey R. Hawks, a 19-year-old Michigan man was arrested Monday on charges that he repeatedly raped a 12-year-old boy who he met on X-Box Live.
Police say Hawks met the boy and his father through the online gaming community, X-Box Live, which allows members to communicate with each other while playing games.
Investigators say Hawks traveled by bus from Burton, Michigan to Parma, Ohio and asked if he could stay with the family until he was due to ship out with the National Guard in February. The family agreed.
Police say during his stay with the family, Hawks repeatedly raped the boy.
When the boy's parents became suspicious of the relationship, they questioned their son about what was going on and then called police. Detectives questioned Hawks, who allegedly admitted to sexually assaulting the boy when his parents weren't home.
Hawks was arrested and booked into the Cuyahoga County Jail on multiple counts of rape and gross sexual imposition.

WTF is wrong with these parents??? Just because you play a game with someone that does not give you an intimate knowledge of that person. And to move them into your home??? These idiots should lose custody until they get some common sense.

wow. This anonymous person is absolutely insane. I actually did go to school with Codey. He was the creepiest person ive met so far. Absolutely noone saw this coming, but not a damn person is surprised. This kid will get all he deserves.
This situation sucks, but I would like to point out that the parents obviously did care. They noticed something odd, questioned the boy, then called the police. How many times have we read on site of a parent, or parents, knowing of abuse, and not doing anything. As for allowing a strange man to stay with them- I'm sure the parents probably considered him a child, too. A clean cut, or at least not incredibly creepy looking, young man who was about to join the military and do good for his country. Should the parents be held responsible? I don't know. But I bet they hold themselves responsible every day.

We know he your brother. No matter what you say, he is fucked up. He met some kid online, took a bus to Parma (which probably took some time, especially coming from Burtucky). We don't give 2 flyin shits. He deserves to be castrated and tortured, over and over again.
I went to school with code and i worked with him and his dad. He was really kind of wierd but he flirted with all of the girls, I didnt expect it either. I think that the little boy was kind of curious also because he was so excited for him to come stay with him. Im not saying that what codey did was wrong. I feel really bad for his family because they are going through hell especially the ones still in school. I really feel bad for his dad he was a great boss and a good person.
This is why kids shouldn't be allowed to use the internet without parent sitting next to them or at the very least only sites that they can have no communication with anybody else.
I agree with kimberlyb-to the parents he was probably seemed like just another kid-looking at the photo on the right there looks nothing different or suspicious about him then any other kid.
We can all be naive because its not something you really are thinking in everyday life-that their child could be molested was probably the furthest thing from their mind.Unless your thinking about it and looking out for it you really wouldnt think this would happen.If it was a 40 or 50 year old man then you'd say somethings really creepy/wrong about this but him being 19 and looking "normal" they probably were completely blindsided by this
I heard that a plea agreement has been reached in this case. He will plea to 5 counts of Rape, an Importuning charge, and Gross Sexual Imposition. I don't think he'll be back in Michigan any time soon!!!

i don't understand this at all :/ exactly why did his parents let the guy stay with them? I feel bad for the guy's family members, but the guy was evil to physically/mentally abuse that poor little boy. That little boy is going to be recked for life because of that guy. Shame...
