Port St. Lucie, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Matthew Ruben, a 20-year-old Port St. Lucie man was arrested after allegedly throwing a sandwich at his girlfriend.
According to Port St. Lucie authorities, Ruben was arrested on Friday and charged with battery following an attack on his girlfriend that seems to be following a trend over the last month.
Police say Ruben threw a sandwich at his girlfriend's face during an argument the two were having. He then allegedly struck the woman on the top of the head before fleeing the scene, according to the arrest report.
When authorities caught up with Ruben, he allegedly admitted to throwing the sandwich at the woman, but denied hitting her. He was arrested and booked into the St. Lucie County Jail.
The story comes on the heels of two other similar stories this much including Vincent Gonzalez who was arrested after allegedly smashing a cheeseburger into his girlfriend's face and another Port St. Lucie man, Emmanuelle Rodriquez, who assaulted his girlfriend with a sandwich before throwing a temper tantrum while she was trying to drive a vehicle.
But getting back to the original story. Would it be safe to assume that this sandwich was likely a "Ruben" sandwich? Absolutely!

First a cheeseburger then 2 sandwich attacks, when will these people learn? These type of crimes just escalate, next it will be a drive by philly cheesesteaking. The senseless waste of food...
Is this what you call getting the full meal deal? What girl would put up with guys like this? I don't get it.
