Cedar Hills, Utah (The Weekly Vice) -- A Cedar Hills, Utah couple was arrested earlier this month on prostitution charges after authorities learned the couple provided sex services out of their home. She provided the services while he enforced payment.
Lorraine Jenks, 43 and Jeff Jenks, 40, were arrested Dec 19 following a three-week investigation into a home prostitution business that operated as children played in the neighborhood.
Police say the investigation began after neighbors noticed heavy traffic in and out of the house over the past four months. Utilizing an informant, detectives were able to learn what was going on inside the house. Prostitution services that saw up to 6 clients per day, according to Lt. Darren Falslev of the American Fork Police Department.
Investigators say Lorraine Jenks was providing the sex acts, charging several hundred dollars for each appointment, while Jeff Jenks monitored the operation with surveillance cameras and enforced payment.
Services were advertised as a massage parlor on several social networking sites, but when callers contacted the business, they were advised that "much more would take place than a massage," Falslev said.
The couple, who have been married for 20 years, made approximately $60,000 over a four month period - investing the money in a new truck, home improvements and a trip out of the country they were planning to take.
The couple's four children live in the home, but authorities do not believe the children had a full understanding of what their parents were doing.
Police say police action was necessary because of the number of children who resided in the neighborhood and the .
"There are kids playing in the front yards as we were carrying out the operation. Who knows who they are bringing in and the safety risk that has been brought to the community. that's probably the scariest part of the whole thing," Falslev said.
Lorraine and Jeff Jenks were arrested on suspicion of a pattern of unlawful activity and not having a business license. They were released after posting $1,500 bail each.

I just don't see how someone could watch their wife having sex with men all day long. Especially not for hundreds of dollars - which means she was probably a full service girl. With kids in the house? I don't get it.
this couple probably started out doing the swinging bit. soon, tough times turned hobby into profit making venture.
the only problem i see is the kids in the house.
This is legal in Canada, where the govt has no business in your bedroom and what you do with strangers.
Maybe the USA needs to grow up a little.

There's a reason why much of your society is about 20 years behind the times.
Good luck seeing a doctor if you get sick and are considered no longer treatable.
You know... we rarely see Mom & Pop businesses any more.
I know these people and this story only exposes 1 side. It does not discuss the positive things they bring to the community.
