Hogansville, Georgia (The Weekly Vice) -- Elizabeth Gaddy, a 45-year-old social studies teacher at Callaway Middle School in Hogansville, Georgia has been arrested on multiple charges after police say she had sex with a 13-year-old student for months.
Gaddy, who is a 7th grade teacher at the school, was charged with aggravated child molestation, child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
Authorities say Gaddy had a sexual relationship with the student over a period of several months. The sexual activity allegedly occurred at Gaddy's home in Hogansville and on various back-roads throughout Troup county.
Investigators first became aware of the alleged activity when the student's parents became concerned with Gaddy's behavior.
She had already been place on administrative leave by the school on Nov. 20. regarding a separate alleged incident involving a student.
Gaddy was booked into the Troup County Jail. She is currently being held without bond. Her next court appearance has been scheduled for February 12, 2009.
The Weekly Vice Opinion:
Gaddy is clear evidence that you just can never tell who might possibly have the hots for a kid. Judging by appearances, I'd have to say she's about as close to June Cleaver as one gets. Who would ever think she'd be running around town, shagging a 13-year-old?

I had Ms Gaddy as a teacher and will always love her. She was one one of my favorite of all time.
I'm very sad to hear this happened.
I had Mrs. Gaddy as a Social Studies Teacher several years ago. I would never have even ENTERTAINED the notion that she would even so much as THINK of engaging in such behavior as this. I have a REALLY hard time believing it. While I never attended Callaway Middle School, as it was opened just a year or two after my Middle school years, I know that some of the Callaway Middle faculty and Administration have worked with Mrs. Gaddy for close to 20 years if not longer. I hope they will investigate this thoroughly before they toss aside the career of one of the best teachers I ever had.
Charlie, rumers were swirling around the school for about a year I'd say and she was actually caught doing some things before, but I don't think the police were called. This seemed to be an ongoing thing, even after people around school became aware of it
Does anyone know if she's married? She just does not seem to be the kind who'd be doing this. I know looks aren't everything, but I'm really kind of amazed at this and I don't even know her.
I don't know if she's still married now, but she was when I was in her class around 1993-94. I remember she had a baby during that year and had a difficult pregnancy, which caused her to miss the first few days of the school year and a long maternity leave from After Christmas break through just before Spring Break. But I digress.
I haven't kept in touch with the school system much since I graduated but I still say something doesn't quite add up with this. I'm aware of the rumors about the cheerleaders and things like that, but as a Troup County police officer said, that was just "childish" stuff.
There was another teacher during my time as a student of Mrs. Gaddy's, that IMO should have been investigated.
Mrs. Gaddy was my 7th grade Social Studies teacher. I must say she was very caring, but never in any way of child molestation. She is a wonderful teacher and I just cannot picture her doing this. She doesn't even look like herself to me. I feel as though she is very stressed or we need to get a brain scan! She may have a tumor in her brain which is causing her to be disoriented!!
Also, I know it sounds like child molestation. How can they call it child molestation when it obviously was consensual. The boy willingly kept appearing at Mrs. Gaddy house and back dirt roads. Plus, sorry to say but the world is a much more dangerous place today, a 13 yr old boy is not a baby anymore because they are having sex, that is why we have girls that are pregnant even way before she hits preteen/teen years.

if you are trying to say that a 13 yo boy controls the situation with a middle aged pedophile then you need to keep studying your pysch books. A boy in puberty does not have the brain or reasoning development to make rational decisions in his best interests. That's why they can't vote, drink, or drive. Society recognizes this, maybe you should to..
A 13 year old can most definitely control the situation. When Ms. Gaddy taught "us" back in 1989, there were several of us who used to try to get with Ms. Gaddy. As far as I know, none of us ever got anywhere.....but we tried!!
Okay look yall im at the middle school now and i know who the 13 yo was because hes one of my close friends but Mrs.Gaddys husband posted bail then left her afterwards. In my opinion their whole family is screwed up... Mrs.Gaddy is not even a good teacher shes on her cell phone all the time and she never teaches plus she threatens to throw shoes lmao.. but its hard to believe b/c she even has a daughter not a year older than the alleged victim yet they all act like its a game saying theyre famous cause their mommas on tv having sex with a minor... yeah they need help

Did you know that this same woman, Beth Gaddy, tried to starve her grandmother to death four years ago by claiming falsely to have medical power of attorney over her, putting her in hospice and yanking her feeding tube? The grandmother wasn't even senile or terminally ill, she just had a heart problem, and her real next of kin (her siblings) were eager to care for her themselves. Beth told relatives, "Grandmama is getting old and it's time for her to go to Jesus." What a vicious nut this woman is.
THE ONLY TRUE JUDGE IS OUR GOD WHOM WE ALL HAVE TO FACE. DO NOT JUDGE UNLESS YOU HAVE WALED IN ANOTHER'S SHOES! THEN YOU CAN ONLY PRAY AND LET GOD BE THE JUDGE.
