Carrie Noe's MySpace Profile (scrapped as of 12/31)
Salem, Oregon (The Weekly Vice) -- Carrie Noe, a 19-year-old Salem Oregon woman was arrested Friday after police say she murdered her two-month-old son, Ian Noe.
According to Salem police, authorities responded Friday to a 911 call from a home near the 1000 block of Fabry Road Southeast to find an unresponsive child.
When paramedics arrived, they found Noe and her husband sitting on a sofa, holding their deceased child's body. Efforts to revive the 2-month-old were unsuccessful, according to Salem Police Lt. Steve Birr.
Carrie Noe allegedly told police that she was painting a room alone, when the child began crying. After about 15 minutes of crying, Noe told investigators she went into the baby's room frustrated, picked the child up out of his crib, shook him three times and then set him back into the crib in a forceful manner, according to the arrest affidavit.
Noe allegedly told investigators that after the child had been shaken, his body went limp and he began breathing in a labored manor. She allegedly did not call for help or check on the child again until her husband came home later that day. Noe's husband, has not been charged in the case.
Police arrested Noe on a charge of murder and booked her into the Marion County Jail where she is currently being held without bail.
During Noe's initial court appearance, she was described as calm with a slight frown as she answered the judge's questions. Her next appearance has been scheduled for Jan 9.

How does one let a child scream for 15 minutes, and then go in to shake the life out of him.....only to ignore him when his little body goes limp?
I have been holding this story back for a couple of days - wanting to make sure there was a case of death by abuse before posting it. Sadly enough, Noe's alleged admissions establish that to be the case here.
Letting a child die alone, as you walk off annoyed.... That's as cold blooded as any other murder in our book.

Stupid bitch. This is one of the reasons I'm against teenagers having children. Children raising children...just doesn't work most of the time.

Yeah, usually they wanna keep living like a teen and a kid becomes an annoyance, instead of their focus. It's an accessory. But I don't get how you can walk off and leave a kid who obviously is struggling to breath or goes limp. I feel very sorry for the husband, who's now lost his whole family.
Why would anyone NOT know that shaking a baby is harmful in this day and age?
I feel so sad that poor child died alone, knowing his mother was angry.

Carrie and I were really close..... she use to be the type of girl that couldnt watch gory movies... i cant believe she did this... this is a very horrible thing. I hope she ends up spending the rest of her life in prison!

This is a very sad situation. Calling her names is not going to change the circumstances at all. I do have to say that I had my first child at the age of sixteen and did have my own moments of frustration, yet I knew that walking away and taking a few minutes was better all the way around. I don't think that it is "babies having babies" that is the problem as much as it is a lack of education on how to parent that needs to be addressed. Learning to ask for help is the biggest challenge. Yes, I agree that she should pay for what she has done. Perhaps it would be a great idea to make parenting classes a mandatory part of pre-natal care....
Education my ass. Even wild animals know how to care for their young. Sounds like she was a stay at home mom....Married...Sounds like a spoiled bitch. Because she's stupid,hateful and selfish, she decided to kill the child. She had plenty of time to call an ambulance--but didn't. End of story.

I honesty think that by using such hateful and insulting terms to describe your feelings about a situation all you are doing is showing your lack of intelligence. Not every person in the world knows how to be parents, and even if you do a little help to learn how to do a better job never hurt anyone. I understand that people are angry, I myself do not understand how a mother can harm her own child or any child for that matter, however the insults and profanity will not help anyone. Try to express your feelings using better adjectives.
P.S. and you know exactly what happened, how, were you there. No, you are taking your information from the media what a reliable source.... The fact is her baby is dead and she admitted to doing it. She needs to be punished. How do you propose we as a society can prevent this type of behavior in the future? Call names like stupid, hateful, selfish, Bitch and threaten to shake that person to death, or perhaps find a more intelligent way to handle it.

Police reports are public record and court hearings are open to the public unless otherwise closed by the judge.
If you want to challenge something in this report, you had better come ready with the documents to back it up - because I certainly can.
I do not believe that I was challenging your information. I was responding to a posted comment by miss "Education my ass". People are very eager to shout insults, but are not so quick to suggest anything that may help to change these types of behavior in the future. Obviously this area is for those people who want to respond in a derogatory manner, it is obvious anything but that is not well accepted. Your comments are welcome and you make a fair point. People do tend to express anger at situations like this because a real person is gone now. A helpless child is gone and they don't get to express an opinion.

It doesn't matter if she was 19yrs old or 90yrs old. The fact fact still remains, she picked up her tiny loveable precious baby boy and shook him in anger until he went limp. Then left him to die alone.
Every parent I know gets frustrated including myself, but there are other ways of handling those situations.
You don't need parenting classes to love and never want to hurt your child. That's something that should come naturally from your heart.

I'm a young mother and some people were right it's not about babies raising babies its about being a mother. any women can give birth but it takes a real women to be a mother. carrie was the one of the nicest girls ive met. a very christian or so she claimed to be. its still hard to believe but my heart goes out to the baby and the father! I only have one thing to say and that is that I'm very disheartened that the baby's picture is posted. This was such a heartbreaking loss and as he is the innocent victim in this case there should be more respect shown for him as well as the family.

I don't know this woman. What I do know is about Postpartum Depression. It is terrible. It creates insanity out of normally kind and loving women. Any one who would call her heartless and a cold blooded killer has no idea what they are talking about. Google "Postpartum Depression". see what it does to a person. If you see a woman suffering from it.Get her help. It is real! But for the Grace of God that could have been me about 4 years ago. I got help. I am so glad. But don't attack what you don't know....
OMG! this whole subject makes me SOOO mad and sad! I went to school with carrie forever. We were friends. Our senior year, we had a class together. She sat rite next to me. The entire year she had lots of different bfs, but would always be talking about Jeff, the baby's dad, and how bad she wanted to hook up with him. She did end up getting with him, obviously. But she got pregnant just to keep him..... It makes me SOOOOOOOOO mad that she did that to him and the baby! Jeff NEVER deserved that, neither did Ian! She was so psycho obsessed with Jeff, it was scary sometimes. Obviously she took everything toooooooooo far. She didn't even care about the baby, all she cared about was Jeff. I'm sorry Jeff!! You deserve SOOO much better hun!!!!

I have met Carrie Noe when I was held in an unlawful detainer as a material witness in a dv case. She is innocent.
I grew up with Carrie. Weeks before she shook her baby to death her best friends babie's father shook their daughter to death. The two babies were only about a month apart. I graduated with both of these girls and it pisses me off that this is happening. I feel bad for the girl who lost her daughter and i feel horrible for jeff. If you are not ready to have children then don't have sex.
To the person who posted april 10th- you don't know this girl! she might have said she was innocent.. but only trying to save her own ass.. Everybody knew she only prego for jeff... To keep him around... And after the baby came she hated him.. (if she was so proud of her kid, why wasn't her myspace plastered with pics of her newborn? or her facebook? no.. her myspace and facebook were plastered with provacative pics of herself.. trying to be sexy and maybe 2 pics of ian... every other teenage mom i know has like 500,000,000 pics of their kids on the first day...) don't get me wrong, i WAS friends with carrie... This thread is going along alright, so I won't say much - but I think it's important to point out a major concern of authorities which I think some of you are skipping.
The biggest issue for them was not so much that Carrie Noe shook the child.
The bigger issue is that she didn't seek medical attention for HOURS. She let the child suffer and die.
If memory serves me correctly, it was Jeff who called the paramedics later in the afternoon when he got home. She sat on the couch waiting for paramedics not even wanting to touch the child.
I do remember one of the paramedics on the scene noted the bewildered look on his face as he held his dead daughter...
You really have to ignore a lot of details in order to come to a conclusion that she is innocent.
