West Monroe, Louisiana (The Weekly Vice) -- A Louisiana couple was arrested Saturday for assaulting each other after the man refused to have sex with his girlfriend.
Brittany Phillips, 19 and Todd Stewart, 35, were arrested Saturday afternoon on battery related charges after Steward declined Phillip's request to have sex.
According to police, Phillips attempted to wake up boyfriend Stewart, requesting that he have sex with her. When Stewart declined and pushed her away, the couple became engaged in a physical altercation before Stewart reportedly went to the living couch to resume sleeping.
Stewart told police Phillips continued to pester him, so he reportedly went back to the room and punched a wall. That's when he said Phillips "brandished a long metal object which appeared to be a knife and stabbed him in the lip with the object," said the arrest report.
Police say the couple then engaged in another physical altercation that ultimately resulted in a bloody lip and scratches for him and a swollen eye, bruises and scratches for her.
Phillips has been charged with aggravated battery. She also had two outstanding warrants for simple battery and criminal damage to property, according to the arrest affidavit.
Stewart was charged with simple battery. He is currently listed as being on probation, according to the arrest affidavit.
