Pharr, Texas (The Weekly Vice) -- Andres Enrique Cantu, a 55-year-old Texas man was arrested on child molestation charges after a nine-year-old girl wrote a letter to Santa Claus, asking that the girl's relative stop 'touching' her and her 10-year-old sister.
Police say a nine-year-old girl wrote a letter to Santa as a school assignment at Cesar Chavez Elementary school in Pharr, Texas. The contents of that letter launched a police investigation into the ongoing sexual abuse of two children that has now resulted in charges for a relative of the family.
Although police have not shared the exact content of the letter, authorities describe the letter as a "wish list to Santa" asking that the girl's relative stop touching her and her sister.
Investigators say that Cantu sexually abused both girls over a number of years in their bedrooms while they slept or did their homework. Although police do not have an exact time period of the alleged abuse, they estimated that it could have gone on for as long as four years.
Lt. Guadalupe Salinas of the Pharr Police Department said the girl's mother was not aware of the alleged abuse, but told officers that Cantu lived with the family over a long period of time before the parties had a falling out with each other.
Cantu, who worked in another local school district was arrested at the school on Friday. He was booked into the Hidalgo County Detention Center on a felony charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child. He was then arraigned a second time Tuesday for the same charge resulting from the alleged sexual abuse of the girl's older sister - also mentioned in the Santa letter.

i want to thank the school counselor for being so attentive to children. he is probably reading all the santa's letters one by one. thanks to him Andres Enrique Cantu is now arrested.
Thank goodness this pile of dung of a man is no longer groping those girls. And to think he works around kids all day. Just disgusting.
He looks so smug too, like he didn't do anything wrong. At least Santa will bring this girl what she wanted this year, which is a sad sad thing to have to wish for. What a piece of scum. Texas should fry him!
It's occurrences like this that make me feel sorry that the US doesn't sentence criminals to death by firing squad.
