Albert Lea, Minnisota (The Weekly Vice) - Brianna Marie Broitzman, 19, Ashton Michelle Larson, 18, and four juveniles have been charged in connection with a case alleging the teens engaged in ongoing verbal, sexual and emotional abuse of 15 nursing home residents.
Charges filed Monday in the Freeborn County District Court allege several teens working at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Albert Lea, Minnesota spat in residents mouths, poked resident's breasts, groped residents buttocks and genitals and committed other sexually abusive acts while administering care. While some of the teens were directly involved in the alleged abuse, other teens were charged with witnessing the acts and failing to report them as mandated by law.
According to court records, Brianna Broitzman has been charged with three counts of 5th-degree assault of a caregiver to a vulnerable adult, three counts of criminal abuse of a vulnerable adult, sexual contact, disorderly conduct by a caregiver and mandated failure to report.
Authorities say Broitzman admitted that she and Larson poked a resident in the breast and took videos and photographs of various residents between January and April.
Ashton Larson has been charged with two counts of 5th-degree assault of a caregiver to a vulnerable adult, one count of criminal abuse of a vulnerable adult, four counts of criminal abuse of a vulnerable adult with sexual contact, two counts of disorderly conduct by a caregiver and one count of mandated failure to report.
Investigators say Larson admitted to spitting water on a resident, lying in bed with a resident, touching a resident's buttocks, inserting a finger into a resident's rectum, antagonizing a resident, humping a resident and then putting a hand over the resident's mouth to prevent the victim from screaming.
Other employees allegedly told investigators that Broitzman and Larson spanked a resident, teased a resident, poked a resident in the genitals and spit into a resident's mouth because they were drooling. Witnesses also told investigators that Broitzman and Larson would touch resident's breasts and genitals to get them angry.
Authorities say they first became aware of the alleged abuse back on May 1st, conducted an investigation and then initially reported via a Minnesota Department Of Health report on August 28.
All six teens associated directly or indirectly with the alleged abuse were terminated from the nursing home.
Despite facing a year in jail and a $3,000 fine on each count, Freeborn County Attorney, Craig Nelson - who filed the charges - said the teens will "most likely face suspended jail sentences and probation, so they'd have the threat of jail hanging over them if the get in any more trouble."

Well, we're going to stop the report right there. If the prosecutor filing the charges can't see these teens serving any jail time - or paying any substantial fine - then what's the point? Mr. Prosecutor, this wobbly kneed approach wouldn't have anything to do with the photos above would it?
Had these two girls been haggard old trolls with moles on their eyelids and a few teeth missing, we suspect you'd be more motivated to send a clearer message.
While we suspect the prosecutor sees this all as giggly-girl fun, we don't quite view it that way. Good God, fingers up a seniors rectum? Come on dude, grow a pair.
Thus far we have the names and some of the MySpace profiles of a few of the juveniles involved. We're going to withhold that information for now - considering a director or manager should have gotten their fat ass off a chair and paid closer attention to what was going on in that facility.

Yeah that's pretty sad. Even gorgeous faces can be monsters. I feel bad for all the patients that were abused. Knowing that there won't be any justice for them just plain sucks.
That prosecutor's words make me angry. It's not his job to seek a sentence that puts a threat over someone's head, it's his job to prosecute crime - to the fullest extent of his ability. It's the judge's job to decide the middle ground.
Spitting in their mouth? groping their genitals? I wonder if the prosecutor would feel differently if it were his relative being assaulted.
Yup,I agree with everything you've stated thus far in the article. I can reasonably deduce by the (in)actions of the prosecutor,elderly people just don't count. That's bullshit. These people need to do some jail time. These people have been convinced they can do no wrong and everything they do is cute. Wrong!! According to the MySpace page,Ms Psycho Bimbo is willing and open to more experiences.....Perhaps the prosecutor should take a cue from her page and offer this vile and foul young degenerate an experience of an extended stay in jail. The prosecutor by taking jail time off the table is simply enabling these self absorbed degenerates.
All involved should be forced to cohabit with Dominic DiMuccio.

This in regards to the two teen caregivers that have been charged with physical, sexual and emotional abuse of 15 Alzheimer's disease and dementia patients at a Minnesota nursing home; Brianna Marie Broitzman, and Ashton Michelle Larson.
After reading the police report and hearing of this incident over the news……..This sickens me and I am completely appalled! I think these young women need to be charges as adults, should do serious jail time Also they should be put on the sexual offenders list.
These women should have to pay the consequences of their actions anyone else would, I really don’t care of their age or if they were voted the prettiest, most popular or were on the pep squad- what they did was WRONG.
I worked in nursing for twenty two years and started at the age of sixteen, I worked with Alzheimer's patients for six years; I nor did anyone I every worked with ever did anything like what these women did. They should be ashamed of themselves, and should be held accountable for their actions. These women are deviants in the eye of society and especially in the eyes of the medical field.
I believe in karma and may God have pity on your souls girls, and if not remember what goes around comes around- I hope when that happens, you can laugh as you did when you did those unspeakable things to those elderly people. I hope you carry the sorrow of those patients and family members for eternity.

If a guy so much as looked at one of these girls in public for more than a second, they'd run and call the cops to have the "pervert arrested. And yet look what they do!

Their age is no excuse. I absolutely cringe at mentioning another young woman on the same page as these perverts, but hopefully you will have all heard of Army Spc Monica Lin Brown by now. 19 year old medic awarded the Silver Star for her heroic actions in Afghanistan.
She is out there defending our freedom, "doing my job" at the risk of her life, while these sickos are so "bored" that they entertain themselves at the expenes of our helpless elders.
What I can’t believe is that the parents of these monsters has tried to defend their actions?!!! No wonder these spoiled, pampered brats believe they can do anything they want. We need to remember that parents shouldn’t be trying so hard to be their child’s “best friend”… what the child needs is a PARENT… someone to be a role model.. to teach right from wrong… to show them right from wrong… someone who will show them the consequences of wrong choices and not someone who tries to defend their cruel, malicious behaviour. I have a feeling that Mommy and Daddy are more concerned about protecting their own reputation and worried that something like this might affect their ability to make money. They don’t care about their children… their worry is their own pocketbook. Heck… I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that one or a few of the parents involved have already contacted a Hollywood producer/storywriter and signed a deal to make a “made-for-TV movie.” The saddest part of this… people WILL watch such crap. If the parents are supporting these twisted,and depraved degenerates. Perhaps it is from their parents these 2 derelicts learned that such behavior is charming. Perhaps it's a fetish thing with both families? Reasonable people would not only shun and jail these depraved girls,but the entire families of the twisted degenerates involved should be ostracized.

I say.. strap" Miss Thangs" to a chair in lobby of the nursing home. Put up a huge sign beside them explaining every disgusting thing they did to these poor people. So everyone who comes in to see their loved ones can handle these nasty sex offenders their own way!!!
That way, their outer beauty will match their inner beauty!

I am from a town about 25 minutes away from Albert Lea and am a Home health aide. I started taking care of a elderly gentleman who had lived there during that time. He told me about the situation after he was out of there and living back at home. He said it was really bad, he would tell other employees and they would just tell him he didn't know what he was talking about. It's a shame, he is gone now, and can't tell anyone anymore. Those girls never should have been taking care of the people at Good Sam's...Their personalities were me only types. Everything was about what they wanted, screw everyone else. They deserve to rot and never see the light of day!
Good thing for them they weren't men, or black, they'd have the book thrown at them.
As far as anything their parents have to say goes, I'd be willing to bet that daddy dearest slipped them the high hard one during their formative years. That kind of demented takes a while to fester before it bubbles up to the top like that.
The prosecutor should have their genitalia whacked a few times. If for no other reason, because they are collecting a government paycheck and not doing a damn thing that is useful. Dang... just reading this has sent me charging down the path of wicked messed up sadism. It's like a virus. I hope that happiness and sunshine enters the hearts and lives of all of the people involved in this travesty (right after they get their privates whacked.)
as far as i can tell, the girls have 11 charges each and the whole "threat of jail time" may have turned to "probable jail time" due to the national uproar over this case. both girls' lawyers are contesting the consitutionality of statements the girls made to investigators. i hope for the sake of the victims that this is just a formality and the judge can get on with throwing the book at them.
THANKS to MSC for posting Craig Nelson's e-mail address. He's definitely getting one from me. I've been a secretary in two different county attorney's offices (not his) and believe me, these two women would NOT be escaping jail time in those counties. I shivered when I first read about this case because it happened a short time after another nursing home resident case in our area. In that case, I was told by a friend who works there that some of the gentlemen who had been violated didn't want to testify because it was so embarrassing for them. That brought tears to my eyes.
I taught my children to treat all "old" people as if he/she was their own grandparent. And I've seen each of them actually help a little old lady cross the street! Damn, I was proud!
This is as bad (to me, anyway) as child abuse. We'll all be old someday (hopefully) and can only hope and pray we are treated with dignity and respect.

This is sick beyond belief.They ARE sex offenders.They should get life in prison taking advantage of these poor helpless people.If that was an adult male sticking his finger in a childs anus,touching/molesting them and spitting on them they would get very harsh penalties.This is no different.These people are in a vulnerable position and they should be treated with huge respect.
Just because they are girls and young and pretty should this be then ok?Why arnt they being given long jail sentences?They should be given VERY severe punishment.
I have to stop writing now because i'm extremely sickened and angry at the double standards and that they will get away with this
