Shane McCain's MySpace Profile
Loris, South Carolina (The Weekly Vice) - Shane Vance McCain, a 28-year-old Loris, South Carolina man has been charged with sexually assaulting two 6-year-old 'special needs' boys who allegedly demonstrated those sexual acts at school.
According to police, Shane McCain was arrested on Monday following an investigation that began earlier this month involving the sexual assault of two six-year-old boys.
Investigators say they first became aware of the allegations when one of the two boys acted out a sexual gesture in the classroom. When school officials asked the child about the incident, the child allegedly told officials that McCain had performed those acts on him and vice-versa.
The victim also described in detail the use of a particular object that was used in the alleged sexual assault. Investigators obtained a search warrant for McCain's home, and located the object described to them.
Investigators say the sexual abuse of both boys allegedly occurred between March of 2007 and November 3rd, when the investigation began.
McCain was arrested on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 11 years old. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention center, where he remains this hour pending a bond hearing on the case. If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in jail.

This is so sick and heartbreaking. I do not understand how people can view children as sexual partners or playthings. And he probably figured he was safe in doing this partially because they were disabled. He actually looks kind of slow himself.
Do you know if they kids are safe from him now?

All the whiners got rid of it. The prison system is in a "catch-22" position. People complain that the prison system needs to be tougher, but the moment it does, more people whine about cruel and unusual punishment. This is why prisoners get better treatment than victims.
Brat, I saw an article the other day how Australian prisons are now buying video game consoles, tv's...etc for the inmates.
We seem to be about 10 years behind the Aussies in things like this.. sometimes 5. I suspect it's going to get even more insane.

Anonymous, this case has been thoroughly documented in the arrest report and the child's statements have been backed up by a number of items.
Actually, investigators found several things at the home to support the boy's statement.

I am taking issue with your comment that police have not searched the home. According to the records I've accessed, police asked him to leave the home while they conducted a search. They removed a few items during the search.
Since police are required to obtain a search warrant from a judge, it would make no sense to get that warrant and then not fullfill it.

I hope everyone that is commenting on this know whats goes on in SC sometimes I am not saying he is guilt or not everyone think of what you are doing these poor children have been riped out of their home and never get to see their mother I know their mother personally and if she ever thought this was going on she would have taken care of this her self. DSS in SC is shameful they have children being the social workers there, they may have a degree but that means nothing they dont do their monthly visits, they dont check on children that are in trouble that have a terrible home life please make sure you look at the real story and let the court determine the out come just remember God is the only one to judge not us and if he did do this I would be the first one to help put him down but just remember all the evidence is circumstansal in this right now and to interview a child without a parent or a lawyer is so cruel. And if they searched the house dont you think that they would looked at a computer to see what is going on there or if there was abuse wouldnt there be medical records to show abuse I havent seen anything on this we are going on a word of a child I am not saying they lie all the time but was there any medically evidence.
