Austin, Texas (The Weekly Vice) -- Aurelia Gallardo, a 24-year-old Austin, Texas woman has been arrested after allegedly beating her 4-year-old daughter and then throwing her into the path of oncoming traffic.
According to police, Gallardo and her three children were waiting for a city bus when the woman allegedly became enraged at the child and began to abuse her in front of witnesses.
A witnesses at the scene told police that Gallardo yanked the girl off of her feet, pulling her arm so forcefully he thought the girl's arm "was going to dislocate out of the socket." Witnesses say Gallardo then dragged the girl over to the street and threw her into the path of oncoming traffic.
A suburban was forced to slam on it's breaks to avoid hitting the child.
Investigators say witnesses then watched as the woman grabbed her daughter by the hair and threw her against a parked car - all while degrading her with comments like "You are a slut" and "You are dead to me."
When the bus arrived, Gallardo boarded and continued to yell and scream at the child. The bus driver told police that the woman "was yelling every four-letter word known." Witnesses recalled the woman telling the child that "CPS would take her away and that no one would want her."
Police arrived a short time later after receiving several phone calls from witnesses who had seen Gallardo abusing the girl earlier while shopping at the South Park Meadows shopping center nearby.
When officers arrived, the bus had already left the shopping center, however police caught up to the bus and brought it to a stop. Officers who took Gallardo into custody said that the woman did not seem remorseful about what had happened.
Aurelia Gallardo has been charged with child endangerment. She was booked into the Travis County jail on a $25,000 bond.
Gallardo's three children have been taken into protective custody.

It's a tough call trying to figure out what the bigger outrage is here. The angry mother who is yanking her little 4-year-old girl around by the hair - or the spineless, wobbly kneed bystanders who stood there and watched.
Yeah I know, at least someone called the police. But the police wouldn't have been much help if the driver of that SUV wasn't alert enough to get stopped in time.
How about the bus driver? That bastard was going to drive the woman onto wherever she wanted to go, knowing she was beating the daylights out of the poor girl.
As for you Aurelia Gallardo, we're going to keep your oily haired mug right on this website, so everyone knows you aren't fit to work a can opener let alone raise a kid. If your panties are twisted so tight that you'd resort to throwing a toddler into traffic - then you need a nice long vacation in prison.
And contrary to your opinion, your little girl is wanted. It's YOU we can do without.

Can't this woman be charged with attempted murder? She threw the child into traffic and told her "she was dead to her".
I'm sorry but if I was a bystander there I would've beaten the piss out of her, which, of course would've gotten me thrown in jail, convicted and imprisoned. Why? Because she's a female, and would've like cried on the stand, say she's stressed yada yada yada was abused yada yada yada, get the picture? Probably why no one helped, tbh.
You are absolutely right Danny, there are plenty of good people out there who would gladly adopt this little girl. But I'll bet you this POS holds on to her "parental rights" to this child as long as she can to keep the welfare checks rolling in.
So, some judge will send her to a parenting class for a couple of weeks and she'll have her kids back. When will the courts get a spine and do what is best for the children, sometimes keeping the family together is not always what is best.
Well, if you saw all the talking animals (like this idiot woman) they let into this country, you wouldn't be so shocked. We just tolerate them and tend to look the other way when we see a 4'-6" troglodyte with 6 kids crossing the street or clogging the aisles at the grocery store. One day the rest of us will be outnumbered by these talking animals, so be ready.
You have to be careful when getting involved in situations like this. Under no circumstances should you physically engage a crazy person like this woman. If you cause any injury, no matter how insignificant, you could be arrested and subsequently face a civil lawsuit. I would have tried to intervene by getting between her and the little girl, avoiding at all costs physical contact. That's the world we live in today.
People being afraid of ruffling feathers is exactly what gets so many kids killed.
You don't have to attack the parent to stop her from dragging a kid out into the street by her hair.

But to drive the woman away from the scene as if nothing had happened - so she could continue abusing the kid is unnacceptable. Sorry, but someone should have had some balls and kept the bus where it was until police could arrive.
Anon, just remember. Sometimes you only get one chance before that kid ends up dead, injured or disfigured for life. One chance.

I have seen this happen in our state and community.
I worked in a psychiatric hospital
for children and the majority of the children were in similar situations. And some never ever fully recover.
The ones that were returned to the abuser often times came thru the hospital 2-3 times before the rights of the abuser were terminated.
I for one believe we should not put the children thru this as often times the abuser only gets a slap and the hand and the abuse goes on.
I for one think are laws need to be changed to protect the children.After one abuse and neglect charge the abuser gets one chance to redeem there selves and if it happens again the rights are terminated.
Our society is weak in this area.
We need to address the issues at hand with our government.
We fund way too many other countries and need to focus our energy and resources here in our country. If one see's any abuse get involved you might be saving a Childs life. God Bless “A survivor”

What this woman did to her little girl was unbelievable, right? Almost like too outrageous to be true. Yet reminds me of our neighbor girl who was abused in a similiar way yet no one could say anything back then because families did things their own way. It was 1983. My brother & her were about 4 yrs. old. Her mom was always wierd & mean. But this time was the epitome. i had to have been 9. Her mom always yelled for her to come home, across the fence. "AMBER>>!!!" And the little tot would run for home. Only this time, she didn't. Her & my brother were playing long into the evening, and we had been pulling them around in a wagon til dusk. Well, lil' Amber didn't heed the shout and here came her obese mother, sauntering out of their house, across the fence, and to our backyard to fetch poor Amber. And to EVERYONE'S shock, she walked *unassumingly* straight up to her little girl sittin innocently in the lil wagon, and grabbed her by her two braids on the sides of her head and lifted her up & out! Amber screamed but her mom didn't care. She grabbed her little braids and brought her out. Amber cried, howled all the way home with her cruel-hearted mother waddling right behind her. So I know that this mother who almost broke her daughter's arm right out the socket is the same shocking type of selfish abuse that could harm a little one because the parent is sadistic. And something that you couldn't even imagine could happen, but it DOES! : ( sadly it does happen! UGh. Only back then, parents could deal w/ their kids as they saw fit. Today, there'd be more hell to pay. Yet, if she really was in true danger we would've tried to stop it, no doubt, if it were truly serialistic. But Amber is a grown woman today & her mom actually died tragically early. DHS would've been all over that if it were then as it is now. EVERYONE today is suspect nowadays even if your disciplines are normal. Scarey stuff. Yet you know when kids are in danger like this, you HAVE To make it STOP, before there are horrible outcomes. You can just feel it in your GUT! Amber was mis-treated but we didn't fear for her life like this POS who totally over killed any age-appropriate discipline she proabably didn't even try to bestow. Disgusting & horrifying then, & still so now, as I look back. I hope this woman never gets to be around her kids because she so totally is not enough in control of her anger to stop taking out on her kids her shortcomings, and that is too dangerous to attempt again. I believe it when they say she said & acted this horrible way because I've seen it firsthand and it IS ugly.
