Gresham, Oregon (The Weekly Vice) -- Gloria Celeste Moore, a 19-year-old Gresham, Oregon woman has been arrested on charges that she left her 10-month-old baby alone in her apartment and went drinking for over six hours.
According to the Gresham police department, Moore left her 10-month-old baby alone in a playpen at her apartment Friday night to go out drinking with friends.
Investigators say Moore's friends were aware that Moore had a baby, and became suspicious towards the end of the night when Moore refused to let them into the apartment.
Witnesses told police that although Moore promised them that she had hired a babysitter for the evening, they suspected otherwise and insisted on seeing that the baby was alright.
After continued arguing, Moore's friends finally forced their way into the apartment where their suspicions were proved to be correct. There they found the child abandoned, sitting in a playpen in her own urine.
Officers also stated that Moore's friend's attempted to persuade her to come stay with them out of fear over the baby's father. The conversation eventually deteriorated into a shouting match out in the apartment complex parking lot. When neighbors heard a woman screaming for help, they contacted authorities who arrived at the complex just as a car containing the parties was attempting to leave.
Moore was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of 2nd-degree child neglect. She was ordered held on a $2,500 bond.

It's a sad event when your friends care more about your own child than you do, however we really have a different purpose in posting this story - other than the outrage of abandoning a child alone.
We want to commend those friends - who at this point might be wondering if they did the right thing, now that miss Moore is in trouble.
To those friends, we want to say this. You did a great thing in putting this whole situation under a magnifying glass. Bringing a little accountability to this young woman's life might be the very thing that one day saves both of their lives. Thank you for being a true friend, when it mattered most.

I sure hope this girl's parents put a boot in her behind, she needs some kind of wake up call.
Maybe she went to the Kate and Gerry McCann school of parenting.
I don't know about you, but whoever did that highlight job needs to give this girl her money back. She went out partying looking like that?
I know this girl and trust me i am going to put a boot up in her @ss. I cannot believe she would do something like this she could've called me and i would've watched her daughter. but i guess this is for the best. now at least this wont happen again it could've been so much worse
She looks like a cheap tart. Give her a few Bud-Lites and a couple of White Castle burgers and you're good to go. Good thing she didn't hook up with a stranger that evening. That child could've been alone much longer than what had transpired.

Well, maybe this idiot's problem is that she's had one too many 'boots to her ass". In NO way am I excusing her for her pathetic, wheedling and consciously irresponsible behaviour but she definitely needs to be straightened out not beaten up.
