Loveland, Colorado (The Weekly Vice) -- If it's a state senator's job to bring home the "pork" for their constituents, Colorado voters couldn't possibly lose. In 2008, they were asked to choose between Bacon or Fries.
In the end, Bacon won with no calorie recount required.
Democrat incumbent Bob Bacon defeated his Republican challenger Matt Fries 63 percent to 37 percent in Tuesday's election.
Colorado state senate Democrat Bob Bacon was originally elected to the seat in 2004 after serving three terms in the state House of Representatives.
The district he'll represent encompasses most of Larimer County in northern Colorado that includes Loveland and Estes Park.

Too funny.
Maybe we needed another person running with the name Burger, since Burgers go so well with bacon and fries.
