Philip Waldbauer - Man Arrested After Complaining He Was Sold A Bag Of “Grass” Instead Of Marijuana



Davenport, Iowa (The Weekly Vice) -- Philip Waldbauer, a 29-year-old Davenport, Iowa man has been arrested after griping to police he was ripped off while attempting to buy a $10 bag of "grass".

According to Davenport police, Waldbauer contacted them Thursday evening, claiming that he had been robbed.

When detectives arrived to investigate the report, Waldbauer allegedly told them that he approached two men about buying a $10 bag of "grass", the street term used as a reference to marijuana. Waldbauer claimed to have paid for the marijuana, only to learn later that he had literally purchased a bag of real grass.

Waldbauer told officers that he had been ripped-off and wanted to report the men who sold him the faux marijuana.

Officers, who decided they had heard enough, arrested Waldbauer on a charge of conspiracy in the attempted purchase of an illegal substance. Investigators also arrested Troy Harrington, 20, on charges of conspiracy and possession with intent to sell.

Waldbauer has prior convictions in Scott County for assault causing bodily injury, assault and impersonating a public official. Harrington is has a pending charge of assault with a deadly weapon from an incident that occurred last month.

Both suspects were booked into the Scott County Jail. Bail has not yet been established.

Perhaps on his planet marijuana is legal. I can picture this person/alien not knowing the ropes (pun intended). Also,I can picture this guy saying to people "take me to your leader."
